He was last seen at course and distance a couple of weeks ago. He finished with a credible effort in midfield.
Michael’s Choice comes down 1lb and he has won before at this venue.
HOLBACHE has a course and distance win on his record and could benefit from a 5lb claimer on the weekend.
He was a fourth-place finisher here at Brighton on his latest, which was three weeks ago. This is a thin field and Holbache warrants respect.
BATCHELOR BOY is another course and distance winner in the line up for the contest.
His most recent victory was in April. Two weeks ago Batchelor Boy was third at course and distance, ahead of Michael’s Choice.

SLY MADAN has run into some great form lately and she warrants big respect in this handicap contest.
She was last in action on Friday so this is a quick turnaround. That was a course and distance effort in which she was a runner-up.
On her penultimate run, Sly Madam scored at Salisbury. She has won a couple of times here at Brighton a couple of times this year.
ROSE’S GIRL wasn’t in great position to launch any kind of bid on her latest run, which was a handicap at Newmarket.
For Sunday she takes a drop in trip and she gets the hood on for the first time. She is expected to be right in the frame.
RETROUVAILLES needs a bounce back effort after she was below form last time out, which was at course and distance.
She is a former course and distance winner, however. The visor goes back on and that could put her in the frame.

PLATINUM PRINCE is expected to be one of the leading contenders at Brighton in this handicap effort on Sunday.
It’s been two wins in four runs by him this year. Platinum Prince scored at Nottingham on his latest run 81 days ago.
He receives the boost of a big 7lb claimer as well. Platinum Prince rates as a clear danger.
GIRL INTHE PICTURE has run into a big upward swing of form and landed a victory here at Brighton last time out.
That followed a run of three place finishers. She comes up on a trip for Sunday and that should put her right in the frame.
ELOSO doesn’t have a great strike rate on the flat, but there has to be place claims in this one.
He moves up in trip and gets the cheek pieces back on for Sunday. There was a credible run by him last time out at Chelmsford City.

FOLLOW THAT STAR was a runner-up last time out which was on a handicap debut at course and distance.
There should be further progress to come from her still. That’s two runners-up finishes in four appearances this season.
In the previous visit here this season, Follow That Star found only the excellent Emily Upjohn too good.
SPIRIT OF THE BAY gets on the shortlist for horse racing tips and has a lot of consistency in her game.
In 2021 there was a four-timer completed by Spirit Of The Bay. She was back in form when she went close at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago.
PRECISELY will be seeking a hattrick and is now heading in the right direction, so warrants some respect.
She dug deep to score at Ffos Las last time out, and retains 3lb claimer Harry Davies. Precisely comes up 4lb but is still a big player.

IKHTIRAAQ is seeking a hat-trick of current form and looks like being a big player on Sunday.
He is right in the mood at the moment. Ikhtiraaq is under a 6lb penalty for Sunday after a win at Pontefract last week.
He should be right there and has taken three wins in his last four. He has excellent breeding and is a big player.
MERCURIUS POWER scoured at course and distance in July and has stayed in form since then.
He was last seen at Doncaster 17 days ago, and went well, despite not getting the desired result. There is more to come.
ISLAND BANDIT has claims in this one as he goes in search of a hattrick. This is tougher than last time out, but is worth considering.
The latest win for Island Bandit was 17 days ago at course and distance. He went from the front and looks in a positive frame of mind.

EVALUATION has to be a big player in this one as he returns from a break of a couple of months.
He opened the season with a four-timer and has markedly been on the up in this campaign.
Evaluation has been thriving this year. A fifth straight win eluded him at Newcastle last month.
But was never allowed a position to work from in the race.
AGGAGIO is seeking a hat-trick and has won three of his last four efforts, so gets on the shortlist.
He has been recharged for 72 days after landing back to back wins at Goodwood.
Aggagio won over the hurdles earlier this season and has been bang in form back on the flat too.
EL PICADOR claimed a win at Musselburgh back in June and he has been in decent form since then.
El Picador was a runner up at Haydock on a larger 2m trip last time out. Prior form puts him in the mix from a longer quote.
