Sacred 7/2 FAV in City Of York Stakes Racing Odds
It has been a couple of solid efforts produced by SACRED this season and her performances have been better than the results.
Sacred was last seen at Glorious Goodwood in the Lennox Stakes in which she was fifth.
She was beaten by a couple of these rivals in the contest, but looks likely to do well once again and should get in the frame.
Last season as a 3-year-old Sacred scored 7f victories in the Nell Gwyn and in the Hungerford Stakes.

She could well benefit from a less cautious ride this time around.
Sandrine brings a big threat
The form of SANDRINE was taken to a different level when she scored the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood on her latest effort.
She had Kinross, Pogo and Sacred behind her on the day. That means she poses a big threat.
That victory was 25 days ago and she should be one of the front-runners at York on Saturday.
As a juvenile Sandrine won her first three starts, some of those were in big contests as well.
Sandrine revives weight from the rest of the field in this one.

Kinross in the hunt
This is a strong renewal of the City Of York Stakes and KINROSS is expected to be in the thick of the action.
There was a runner-up spot for him last time out to Sandrine in the Lennox Stakes.
Kinross was highly tried last season at the Group level and he wasn’t shown up in them.
He was also the winner of the 2021 renewal of the City Of York Stakes.
Kinross has remained in fine shape against this season and his loss to Sandrine recently was only by a neck.
There are massive claims by him once again at a quote of 9/2* (odds recorded at 18:35 GMT on 19th August 2022 at Coral).
Rohaan not without a chance
Another of the strong players in this is ROHAAN who has had a nice return to form recently.
That form was kicked off with a score in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot. That was a defence for him in that one.
Since then Rohaan has taken back-to-back fourth-place finishes.
The stronger the place on Friday at York, the more Rohaan will be pulled into the frame.

Jumby brings winning form forward
JUMBY brings winning form to the table on Friday after an excellent run last weekend at Newbury.
He does therefore face a quick turnaround, going again just seven days later.
That Newbury run was in the Hungerford Stakes, Jumby thriving there to take the fixture for the fifth time in his career.
That Group 2 7-furlong win clearly makes him a threat.
He may need more on the day in this super-competitive fixture, but has 8/1 claims* (odds recorded at 18:35 GMT on 19th August 2022 at Coral).
Rest of the runners
AL SUHAIL goes for last year’s winning trainer/jockey combo and could pose a threat. He is a talented player and ended last season well. But a poor reappearance in March was the last time that he was seen.
ART POWER returns from a long break to tackle this one. He hasn’t been in action in 2022 yet, but there was a Group 3 success for Art Power on her penultimate run before a credible effort in Champion Sprint Stakes followed.
BRAD THE BRIEF is seeking a hattrick by will need to up his game even further for this one. He’s been so much better since joining a new yard this season. The 7f trip isn’t quite his ideal distance, however.
PGOO landed a couple of Group 3 contests in the summer raising his stock. His two subsequent efforts weren’t as hot, but he’s not totally out of the picture.
DR ZEMPF has won two of four runs this season. He looks pretty smart and connections turn to the tongue tie for the first time as a third-place finish in a Group 2 at the Curragh on his latest spin.
Predictions & Tips for City Of York Stakes Tips
This is a really deep field for the 2022 City Of York Stakes tips, with claims everywhere you look.
The first name on the shortlist has to be SANDRINE at 5/1* (odds recorded at 18:35 GMT on 19th August 2022 at Coral).
Her narrow win in the Lennox Stakes gives her huge claims.
She can push on from that one and again, receives weight from everyone else as a big boost.
KINROSS was right there with Sandrine at Goodwood and therefore can’t be dismissed from 9/2* (odds recorded at 18:35 GMT on 19th August 2022 at Coral).
Last year’s winner could enjoy himself on a return to the winning track, with Frankie Dettori booked.
We would also look to JUMBY for the shortlist at 8/1* (odds recorded at 18:35 GMT on 19th August 2022 at Coral).
He was in a cracking mood when taking the Hungerford Stakes last weekend. If he’s anywhere back near that level he is a threat.
