Arsenal v Hull Betting Preview – Premier League 11th February 12.30pm

The Tigers were hammered by Arsenal in the earlier meeting this season, but now with them having picked up a great seven points from the four games in which Marco Silva has been in charge, there is new optimism surrounding Hull, especially after a draw at Old Trafford and a win over Liverpool in their last two outings. Those have been big points for the Tigers, but Arsenal in contrast, have failed to bank any in their last two league outings, suffering back to back losses against Watford and Chelsea. Pressure is mounting on the Gunners, can they deliver something against the Tigers?

Arsenal v Hull Betting Tips

There have been groans of discontent again among Gunners fans as once again Arsenal looked to have choked. They have carded back to back league defeats against Watford and Chelsea which has really put a dent in their season. Now they have to pick themselves up and get going again in the race for a top four spot, which is a pretty tight race. Arsenal have only managed a W2 D1 L2 record then in their last five Premier League matches, but you have to look at their overall home form this term. They had that shocker of a defeat against Watford in their last home game, but they had produced an unbeaten run of ten home league games before that and were on a five match winning streak there before the Hornets upset them. Overall their home record reads W8 D2 L2. So this one will be about the wounded beast picking themselves up again and with them having scored in each of their last fifteen league matches, over 2.5 goals at Sky Bet is a decent price of 1/2.

Arsenal are running with pretty strong head to head form against the Tigers and they don’t look as if they are going to be upset in this one. Arsenal have won seven of their last eight (D1) against Hull in the Premier League and are currently sitting on a 13 match unbeaten streak (W11 D2) against Hull in all competitions. The Gunners have actually scored at least two goals in twelve of their last thirteen games against the Tigers in all competitions, so in the Sky Bet correct score market you have a price of 13/2 on an Arsenal 2-0 correct score as the shortest priced option. Arsenal have collected a clean sheet against the Tigers in three of their last four home games against them and there is a quote of 11/10 on Arsenal winning this one to nil. Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez are joint 3/1 First Goalscorer favourites for the match. There is some pressure on the Arsenal back line which has looked very vulnerable of late, having picked up one clean sheet only in their last five.

So there have been cracks there and a both teams to score wager on the game at Sky Bet is a 19/20 option for you. Marco Silva has done wonders since arriving at Hull, having guided them to seven points in four games. That was as many as they had collected in their previous 18 league matches. In their last two they have taken a point at Old Trafford in a 0-0 draw and a home win over Liverpool so there have been clear improvements from them in what has been a tough run of fixtures. Hull have gone W2 D1 L1 in their last four Premier League outings now and yet despite all the positives, you have to look at their away form. It’s not good. The point at Old Trafford at the start of February, snapped a nine match losing streak (10 winless) that they were on away from the KCom in the top flight. The Tigers have managed to net just one goal in total in their last eight away games and in total have scored only six away from home this term. The recent improvements suggests that they can put up a survival fight, but they have yet to prove themselves out on the road.

Arsenal v Hull Predictions

The Gunners have, by and large, been pretty comfortable against Hull in recent meetings. They have put four goals past them in each of their last two meetings in all competitions. It’s been a rough week or so for Arsenal and Hull will present a new challenge to them. The Tigers have been battling brilliantly lately but they may not have enough to keep the Gunners at bay in this one. Home win and possibly worth looking over the 2.5 goal line as an option too.
