Premier League Matchday 1: Best Betting Football Tips

Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal: EPL Betting Tip

Things start on Friday night when Crystal Palace host Arsenal at Selhurst Park. The Eagles stunned the Gunners in this fixture last season, picking up a 3-0 win in April. Will Patrick Vieira’s troops get the better of Mikel Arteta’s men once again?

Vieira built an excellent Crystal Palace team last season. The Eagles shocked a few big clubs along the way, with a 2-0 win at Man City being one of the standout results of the season. Can the south Londoners build on last term’s 12th-place finish and push for a European spot this time around?

Our betting prediction:
Gabriel Jesus to score first
9/2

Arsenal have a new look this season, with Arteta making a few eye-catching signings over the summer. The Gunners missed out on the top four in agonising fashion last term, but reaching the UEFA Champions League will be the priority again. Can the north London outfit start with three points at Selhurst?

Palace were tricky customers for Arsenal last season, but we can see Arteta’s team getting revenge in this one. This promises to be a cracking game to jump-start the new campaign, and there is good value in 3/1 for the away win and both teams to score.

Crystal Palace 7/2

Fulham vs. Liverpool: Best Premier League Betting Predictions

Saturday lunchtime’s kick off will see Fulham and Liverpool lock horns at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers are back in the top flight after winning the EFL Championship title last term, while the Reds finished runners-up in the Premier League. Liverpool are the odds-on favourites to start with a win in London.

Fulham romped their way to promotion from the Championship last term, racking up 90 points and scoring 106 goals. The Whites have been somewhat of a yo-yo club in recent years, but can they avoid an instant return to the second tier this time?

Liverpool had a remarkable 2021-22 season. At one point, they were on course for the quadruple. Klopp’s men lost out on the Premier League title by a solitary point and were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Nevertheless, they won the EFL Cup and FA Cup, beating Chelsea on penalties in both finals. The Premier League will be the priority this season.

Liverpool should be too strong for the Premier League new boys, and we fancy the Merseysiders to prevail by a margin in west London. You can get 4/6 for the away team to win -1.

Everton vs. Chelsea: EPL Betting Odds & Predictions

On Saturday evening, Frank Lampard’s Everton go up against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Goodison Park. This is a tough opening fixture for the Toffees, who only just survived the drop last term. The Blues will be looking for all three points on their travels in game one.

Everton had a miserable 2021-22 season. Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez was sacked after a horrendous run of results, with Lampard taking over in January. It went to the wire, but the Toffees survived, finishing just four points clear of 18th.

Chelsea had a topsy-turvy season on and off the field. They won the UEFA Super Cup at the start of the campaign and were crowned FIFA Club World Cup champions in February. They also reached two domestic finals and finished third in the Premier League. How will Tuchel’s troops fare this year?

Chelsea will be eyeing up all three points from Saturday’s trip to the blue half of Merseyside. We like the look of 7/5 for the visitors to be winning at half time and full time.

West Ham United vs. Manchester City: Best Premier League Betting Tips on Matchday 1

The final match of the opening weekend of the new season is arguably the best on paper, as West Ham entertain champions Man City. The Hammers are a capable outfit under David Moyes, but can the hosts upset the title favourites in game one?

For the first time in the club’s history, West Ham qualified for Europe two years running via their league position. After going far in the UEFA Europa League last term, the Irons will have a crack at the UEFA Conference League this season.

Man City won the Premier League title in dramatic fashion last term, and Pep Guardiola’s boys are the favourites once again. A year ago, the Citizens lost their opening league game in London, falling to a narrow defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. They will be desperate to avoid a repeat scenario this Sunday.

West Ham will no doubt play their part in front of their home supporters in this one, but Man City will back themselves to get the job done in the capital. Check out the solid odds of 9/5 for the City victory and both teams to score.
