Premier League Matchday 2: Best Betting Football Tips

Aston Villa vs. Everton: EPL Betting Tip

The weekend gets up and running when Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa and Frank Lampard’s Everton go head-to-head at Villa Park. Both clubs will be hoping to bounce back from opening defeats. The Villans are the odds-on favourites with the bookies.

The pressure is already on Gerrard after his side started their campaign with a disappointing 2-0 loss at newly promoted Bournemouth last week. It was a poor showing at the Vitality Stadium, with Jefferson Lerma and Kieffer Moore scoring for the home side.

Everton also picked up no points from game one, but they did give good account of themselves against FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea. The Blues were made to work hard for their points, as a Jorginho penalty on the stroke of half time was the only difference between the two teams.

Lampard will have been encouraged by his side’s performance against his beloved Chelsea, and we fancy the Merseysiders to leave Villa Park with all three points on Saturday. The visitors are nicely priced are 4/1.

Brentford vs. Manchester United: Best Premier League Betting Predictions

After suffering a bad home defeat in his first game in charge, Erik ten Hag will be desperate for a win when he takes his Man United troops to the capital to face Brentford in Saturday’s late game. The Bees picked up an away draw in their opening fixture and will not be an easy nut to crack for the Red Devils.

Thomas Frank’s Brentford found themselves 2-0 down at the King Power Stadium last weekend. However, they stunned Leicester City in the second period, as goals from Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva earned the Londoners an unlikely point.

Ten Hag’s big day was ruined by Graham Potter’s well-drilled Brighton & Hove Albion. The Seagulls were excellent at Old Trafford, leaving with a deserved 2-1 win. The Red Devils were not at the races in Ten Hag’s first game, but can they bounce back with a big three points in west London this weekend?

Brentford are not easy to topple on their own patch, and they are capable of holding United to a draw this weekend. Our money is going on the draw and both teams to score at the solid price of 16/5.

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur: EPL Betting Odds & Predictions

The standout matchup of round two takes place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, as London rivals Chelsea host Tottenham. The Blues had Spurs’ number last season, winning all four league and cup meetings without conceding a single goal. Who will come out on top in this one?

Chelsea’s league campaign started with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park. Tottenham fell behind early on in last week’s home game with Southampton, but Antonio Conte’s boys battled back to win 4-1 thanks to efforts from Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier and Dejan Kulusevski and a Mohammed Salisu own goal.

As we touched on, Chelsea beat Tottenham four times last season, scoring eight and conceding none. Conte alone lost three times against his former club. Tottenham have also failed to score in their last four league meetings with the Blues.

Chelsea have been a bogey team for Tottenham in recent times, and we can see the trend continuing at the weekend. Check out the generous odds of 3/1 for the home team to win to nil again.

Chelsea 5/4

Tottenham Hotspur 9/4

Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace: Best Premier League Betting Tips on Matchday 2

Liverpool and Crystal Palace meet in the final Premier League game of matchday two. The Reds are the strong favourites to get all three points at Anfield. However, can the Eagles cause an upset on Monday?

Liverpool were shocked in game one, as EFL Championship champions Fulham held Jurgen Klopp’s boys to a 2-2 draw. The Reds fell behind twice at Craven Cottage and were lucky to return home with a point.

Crystal Palace were beaten at home in their first game. Mikel Arteta’s troops were too strong for Patrick Vieira’s Eagles, with the Gunners leaving Selhurst Park with a deserved 2-0 win. This will be another stern test for the south Londoners.

Liverpool were sluggish on the opening weekend, but they should respond with a comfortable home victory on Monday. We are tipping the Reds to dominate this one from start to finish, and odds of 11/8 for Liverpool to win both halves are just too good to turn down.
