Liverpool v Swansea Betting Preview – Premier League 21st January 12.30pm

This is the Saturday lunch time kick off and there could well be some goals flying around. Liverpool have to pull their socks up a little bit having drawn their last two Premier League outings, and need to get some pressure on the others around them in the top four. Here you have the Reds who are the top scorers in the league this term, taking on the worst defence and that alone suggests that there is only going to be the one outcome in this one. That is, a return to winning ways for Jurgen Klopp’s men in the Premier League.

Enjoy the great Boylesports Crossbar Challenge promotion for this game. They will double winnings if either side hits the crossbar in the match (the ball must rebound back into play to activate the promotion) and the maximum free bet that can be picked up from the offer is £500. Liverpool v Swansea Betting Tips

Liverpool will be backed heavily this weekend because this should be a relatively easy fixture for them, despite having played in midweek in an FA Cup replay where they beat Plymouth 1-0. The Reds have won their last five on home soil against Swansea in all competitions now and have taken the Welsh club down once already this term. Liverpool took a 2-1 win at the Liberty Stadium back at the start of October. Liverpool have drawn their last two Premier League matches now against Sunderland and Manchester United, but they were out on the road. At Anfield they have won five of their last six played now this season in the league so are running in good form. So a clean sheet win could be on the way and under 2.5 goals with Boylesports at 15/8 is an option. Liverpool have only failed to score at least two goals in two of their nine home games this season in the top flight. Liverpool have scored just one goal exactly in three of their last five games, but only two of their last six games have been at Anfield.

So a Liverpool 2-0 correct score at Boylesports for 7/1 should have some immediate appeal in this one. Liverpool have only managed more than two goals in a game against Swansea once in their last six meetings with the Welsh club. The Reds are in good head to head form then against the Welsh club as they have won five of their last six league outings against them. Only Liverpool and Spurs have unbeaten home records this season in the Premier League and Liverpool have never lost a Premier League home game against Swansea either (W4 D1). The Reds have netted a total of 14 goals in those five previous home games in the Premier League against Swansea. In the anytime goalscorer market here is a 4/7 quote on Daniel Sturridge with an 8/11 quote on the likes of Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino. Jordan Henderson is a 5/2 shot and he has scored three in his last five Premier League games against Swansea. Liverpool to win to nil is an even money option.

So Swansea are rooted to the foot of the table at the moment and this isn’t a game which they are going to be looking forward too particularly. The Swans have gone W2 D1 L7 away from home this season in top flight and they have suffered a defeat in three of their last four. They did manage to bank a win in their last away game though which was in London against Crystal Palace. Overall home and away Swansea have gone W1 L5 in their last six league games and in that sequence have shipped 18 goals. They boast the worst defence in the league which is why they are at are at where they are at. They have conceded at least three goals in five of their last six league games and were hammered 4-0 last weekend by Arsenal. At home. There has been just the nine away goals netted by Swansea this season the last time that they won back to back away games in the same Premier League season was in May 2015. Tough, tough game for them against Liverpool’s strong attack. Gylfi Sigurdsson is a 7/2 anytime goalscorer option.

Liverpool v Swansea Predictions

Liverpool need a good win under their belt to start getting some momentum back and they are likely going to be able to pick that up in this one. Swansea don’t have the defensive skills to suggest that they are going to hang in there against the Reds at all, and it is probably worth looking at Liverpool to win to nil in this one. Klopp’s men need to make a bit of a statement here after seeing Arsenal destroy the Swans last weekend.
