Man City v Spurs Recommended Bet:
City have been stuttering this season but they should be worth backing here to keep their home form going. They have not lost in their last 34 home matches in the Premier League now and shows the resistance they do put up at home. They have rattled off four wins and a draw this season at the Etihad in the league and even though the goals have dried up a bit, and they may be a bit short of confidence with their European ventures going awry, the bookies are still favouring a home win. City have kept clean sheets in their last two games at home in the league, just one in the last three. So strong enough form and three of their five home games has seen them score three goals.

Spurs were dismal in their home defeat against Wigan last weekend and they have lost their last two at home now .However, their away form has been  pretty steady, winning the last three in a row. Their problem here though is their lack of clean sheets, which is likely to haunt them against Man City. They haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road this season. Jermain Defoe netted a hat-trick in the Europa League during the week and Andre Villas-Boas actually changed his system to go 4-4-2 with two out and out strikers. They may not be that brave away from home at City, and therefore it may just be worth going for a Man City -1 Asian Handicap for a price of Evens at online bookmaker Paddy Power.

Man City v Spurs Betting Preview
City are still waiting to get some players back and could get back the likes of Joleon Lescott, Maicon and David Silva. Boss Roberto Mancini is looking like a man under pressure at the moment and once again needs a response from his side after another disappointing night in Europe. In the Premier League, they have won four of their last five and they are the only side left in the league defending an unbeaten record. City have won their last three against Spurs, but their previous record to to that was winning just one of the previous fifteen against the White Hart Lane crew. Samir Nasri could be one to watch as he has scored in three of his last four Premier League matches against Spurs, and in the game he didn’t score he created three assists.

Tottenham haven’t won four in a row away from home since April of 1989. They have just started to lose a bit of momentum and there won’t be much taken from their midweek triumph in the Europa League. Their big away win of the season came at Old Trafford at the end of September when they toppled the Red Devils 3-2. They just haven’t looked defensively sound enough to really keep a bunch of goals from flying in, if they come up against a City side who play at pace and power like they are capable of. This will come down to a real tactical battle of the manager and Spurs are outsiders as you don’t know which one is going to show up.
