Tottenham v Arsenal Betting Tips

Tottenham squeezed out a win over Crystal Palace in midweek, which kept up the pressuring leaders Chelsea and it also extended Tottenham’s current winning streak in the Premier League to eight games. It’s been brilliant stuff from them and they go into the North London derby on Sunday with 14 point advantage over their rivals. Tottenham continue to excel on home soil as well as they are on a massive twelve-match winning streak in the Premier League at White Hart Lane now and three of their last four victories have been to nil. Spurs to win to nil at William Hill is a price of 3/1. Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings between these two at the Lane, so that’s why the price is high, and both teams to score at William Hill is a price of 1/2.

Tottenham are on a five-match unbeaten streak of form against Arsenal in the Premier League (W1 D4); they’ve never gone six consecutive league games without defeat against the Gunners. The Lilywhites took a 1-1 draw at the Emirates earlier in the season and each of the last three between these have ended in a draw. There have been three 1-1 draws in the last five North London Derby league clashes and in the William Hill correct score market, a 1-1 draw is running at a price of 7/1. Spurs are in some brilliant scoring form on home soil though as they have scored at least three goals in five of their last six home games in all competitions and have netted at least two in each of their last seven at the Lane. Over 2.5 goals at William is a price of 8/15 and Harry Kane is the outright favourite in the anytime goalscorer market at price of 4/5 with Dele Alli at 7/5. Kane is on a four-match scoring streak against the Gunners.

Arsenal are on a two-match winning streak in the top flight, having beaten both Middlesbrough and then Leicester by a one-goal margin. They are still though a big five points away from a top-four place in the league standings, so they can’t afford to lose this one. However, their away form in the league isn’t good as they have gone W1 L4 in their last five Premier League away games and they shipped three goals exactly in each of the defeats in that sequence. The Gunners haven’t collected an away clean sheet in seven games now. As a positive for them though, the Gunners have scored in all but one of their last 23 visits to White Hart Lane in all competitions, so they are value to strike. Alexis Sanchez is a 7/5 William Hill anytime goalscorer market option for this one with Olivier Giroud at 7/4. Arsenal are W2 L2 in their last four visits to White Hart Lane in the league.
