UNIBET REVIEW 2020 - SPORTS BETTING REVIEW

OUR OPINIONS ABOUT UNIBET

  • Huge range of betting markets.
  • Outstanding In-Play betting service.
  • High odds on football and other sports.

Online-Betting Rating:

This Unibet review will feature one of the largest online betting operators in Europe. They are right there in terms of value and quality of products and odds.

In this Unibet betting review, we will be taking a look at all the different aspects of services that they have available on their website.

We will take an in-depth look at what they offer customers.

Unibet has been around with almost two decades of experience in online technology and security.

Because of that, they can offer a very high-quality end product to their users and already hold over 14 million customers from over 100 countries.

There are a lot of very strong features that we liked about Unibet which we will explore thoroughly here in this Unibet betting review.

But things like their in-play and Unibet app are things which makes them stand out at the end of the day.

They are an award-winning service having been voted best European bookmaker of the year on more than one occasion.

Betting markets and odds quality 9/10

Betting markets

There are a lot of high-quality odds around at Unibet and this is just one of the reasons why they are so strong with everything. That’s a good place to kick off this Unibet betting review.

There is a maximum £200,000 winnings per bet with Unibet and they cover all of the usual markets from the big North American coverage through to the regular fare of soccer, cricket and tennis.

Because they are very eurocentric, which we found to be a nice touch in terms of variety, you can find great odds and great markets for market likes floorball, futsal, basketball and water polo.

All round, Unibet really hit the mark.

We liked their sportsbook a lot simply because of the variety of options there.

As with any bookmaker, you will see a heavy leaning on the big sports like tennis, football, rugby and cricket when in season.

But Unibet does seem to go the extra mile in covering other sports.

You will probably be hard pushed to find better coverage of things like Chess, Futsal, Floorball, Bandy, Surfing and other types of sports that don’t usually garner as much interest as the main ones.

So that is something that the Unibet Sportsbook really excels at and it deserves huge credit for the amount of coverage that it gives.

The number of options in the sportsbook was one of the strong features that kept coming up in our review of Unibet.

Of course, all of that would fall apart if the betting variety wasn’t there on the main sports.

But the depth through sub-markets on the major sports is fantastic as well.

We had a quick look at the Premier League matches for a particular weekend and found an average of at least 250 different bets available for a game.

The bigger the match in profile, generally the more options there were available. It was the same for basketball, American Football and other major betting sports we looked at.

There is fantastic depth there and next for our Unibet sports review, we will take a look at some individual sports.

Unibet Football Review

There is extensive coverage of football available at Unibet. That is a stand out feature that we will focus on in this Unibet betting review.

Visiting the Unibet football section it is immediately clear just how good the coverage is there.

A really nice touch about the layout in the football section of the sportsbook is that the user is not just presented with match outrights.

The default setting at Unibet for a football match listing is seeing both the match outright and goals totals for the game.

They are both listed in separate columns and the second column on the coupon can be changed to display other markets like Both Teams To Score, Draw No Bet and Asian Handicap.

What that means is that you can look at an entire coupon, say for the Premier League and see an alternative market applied to the whole coupon.

So that could be a little bit of a time saver when looking for a bet because the player wouldn’t have to dip into the individual match to get to the market.

What about the variety of markets? Unibet has always been a strong performer when it comes to a variety of football bets.

The big games, the big focus of the sportsbook, easily have over 80 markets available pre-match. We will look into in-play football later as part of these Unibet reviews exploring different aspects of the gaming opportunities.

Another good area of the football betting at Unibet was their specials section, exploring unique things at the time such as a Female Manager in England’s Men’s Premier League and there were a lot of player transfer markets available as well, even mid-season.

Each of the markets had a lot of options in them offering plenty of depth.

Unibet Racing Review

Unibet racing gets its own section on the website and it delivers some high-quality content.

There is international and domestic racing on the site and their main menus will filter things between the Racing, The Vault (which is where all of your racing rewards will be shown), Special and Virtual Racing.

Unibet are very good with their ante-post markets, and it’s common to find markets for racecards a few days out.

There is a dedicated section for Futures which focuses on the bigger races happening a little further out.

That will include big things like the Grand National, Kentucky Derby and The Classics.

The layout of the Unibet racing is absolutely superb and they will score highly for that in this Unibet bookmaker review.

Click on a racecard and there is a very nice presentation and layout available.

It immediately shows the race details including wager and going. There is also a window right there for a live stream of a race.

To access a live racing streak at Unibet there is a Bet to Watch contingency. That means you have to stake at least 1 on the race to watch it.

Now digging deeper into the racing action at Unibet things get even better. It is possible to see both a synopsis of form as well as a full form listing when clicking on a runner in a card. Price changes are clearly marked as well in a card.

In this Unibet UK review the racing section was one of the best features of the entire website.

It has been so well done, the layout is very clear and easy to read and there are extra bits like Naps & Tips, Rules and Racing Guides that can be looked at as well.

In the Special section of the racing at Unibet there are options like the winner of the National Hunt Jockeys Championship and To Win the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Grand National in the same year.

The Unibet racing also has Unibet Best Odds Guaranteed for the UK and Irish Horse racing. There are also Extra Place Racing Specials available on selected races. Another little racing feature that Unibet offers is racing price boosts.

Unibet Esports Review

There is Esports betting at Unibet. In our experience, we visited the in-play section and there was immediately a live stream playing (which was rated for mature audiences) of Rainbow 6 from the Pro League LATAM.

It was a live match and the stream was accessible even without having a bet on a game or even having done a Unibet login.

The main options in the Unibet Esports betting section are a listing of the individual matches and a filter for tournament or league outrights.

Listed at the top of the Esports section is the live in-play fixtures with those upcoming ones below. It was really easy to switch around to filter the matches by time.

Markets on offer for this section of the Unibet sportsbook included Call Of Duty, Counterstrike, Dota 2, League Of Legends, Rainbow 6 and Starcraft.

There is a variety of matches from around the globe on offer, but in our experience, we felt that the betting variety within individual matches wasn’t spectacular.

For example, all that was available for a Call of Duty League match was a handicap.

Unibet Novelty Markets Review

There was decent coverage of novelty markets to offer something for punters beyond the Unibet sportsbook.

Most of what we saw at the time when we visited the site for this Unibet review were TV specials. It was global TV coverage however reaching from Australia to Sweden and Germany.

There was a political section of the Unibet UK website and again, this was a global thing.

That’s actually a very good thing about Unibet, they do encompass a lot of markets from around the world in all of their sections.

For politics, there were options from the likes of Australian territory elections, France, Poland, USA, the UK and the European Union.

Summary

So to sum up the Unibet sportsbook review, there was a lot to enjoy about what is on offer from our experience.

It’s packed with variety and the odds are very competitive. You really can’t ask for a lot more than that from your betting operator.

Considering that they do tend to run a little more in favour of the punter in terms of bookmaker margins, then that is why the Unibet sportsbook is ranking very well with us.

Moving on to the next section we will take a look at the Unibet welcome offer.

odds comparisons

Unibet is highly competitive with the major players in the industry for odds. In our experience we found them to be of great value over the long run.

You have to take into consideration betting margins really when weighing up how good a bookmaker is, and overall Unibet runs with pretty low margins which is fantastic news for punters.

We found soccer margins under 4% and we were also able to find relatively low margins on other big sports like Tennis and American Football, which do generally run a little higher.

In-play betting 9/10

live in-play betting

For a long time now, the live in-play betting section at Unibet has been one of our most highly recommended.

It deserves a prominent mention in our Unibet review. Just hit the live betting link to get into the action and you will see everything presented so very well.

This is a top-notch live in-play betting service. There is a main focus on live in-play football betting which is normal enough and is the same at any bookmaker.

But when we visited the site there were other options for live in-play betting on snooker, motorsports, ice hockey, esports, tennis and more.

So we found a lot of sports being covered by their in-play betting service. Going back to the nice feature we found in the in-play football markets, there were some ‘Time Intervals’ markets.

An example of this is choosing which team would bag themselves the most corners in the next ten minutes of action. You do have the option of cashing out on live in-play as well at Unibet.

Let’s look at some Unibet reviews of the prominent live in-play sections.

In-Play Football

Land on the home page and there is a menu link to In-Play. The markets are then raised on the main screen there. There are icons to switch between sports for a more concise look. So

For example in football, you get a listing of matches happening with the match outright odds and you can click on that match to get more markets.

There are cool little graphics to represent the action in the game along with a text commentary of all the important stuff.

There is a link on each game to go to further stats as well. The stats support in their live in-play betting is wonderful.

It is comprehensive but everything is laid out so well, so clean and the organisation of being able to jump around markets, be it through the main menu or live betting home page is wonderful.

There is a very good variety of bets available with Unibet, with generally above 75 pre-match markets on a big football match.

There are basic statistics represented for punters to look through.

The in-play football section is very good, it is responsive and it is easy to move around between different matches.

For a big Premier League match, we found a plethora of markets available covering everything from the goals total, match outrights, Asian handicaps and goalscorer markets. A lot is going on.

In-Play Tennis

In our experience, the tennis live in-play betting has always been good at Unibet. Again there is a good graphical interface to give clues as to what is happening in the match in question.

We found a lot of good, strong odds for in-play tennis happening at Unibet.

The variety of live markets as well really struck a big chord with us for this Unibet review.

There were a lot of existing markets for in-play tennis like the To Win Next Game markets and correct score options on the current play.

Extras & features 9/10

Extras & features

There is a lot going on at Unibet, more than even meets the eye. To start with there is are good basics like live scores and statistics to enjoy and they are a big operator when it comes to live streams. You can tune in to all of your favourites sports, from top European soccer to basketball and more with them. There are restrictions to viewing. Read their full details. They do offer matches from La Liga and Serie A. They do also offer profit boosts on their Live Streaming Game of the Week.

Of course, you can pair that up nicely with their live in play betting service as well. You can run the two features side by side to really experience the quality of the features, which we found operated well in our review of Unibet. You can find other rotating features in their promotions link on their website. They do like to run competitions for cash prizes as well. Unibet also offers an In-Play Free Bet club. This is where you can join the Un-Play Free Bet Club and get a £10 In-Play Free Bet every week when you place five or more £10 In-Play bets on Football, Cricket, Tennis, Darts and Basketball.

That is just the tip of the iceberg really because Unibet do things differently and they do things so well. There is action betting which is a whole new betting experience where you can have in-play bets settled within 60 seconds. This is a tremendously dynamic way of betting and is a top feature for punters to enjoy. You will find this option on select live in play events in the Live Betting section of the site.

Online-Betting Rating:

User-friendliness of website & mobile app / mobile version 9/10

User-friendliness of website & mobile app

You will be hard pushed to find a more user-friendly website out there in our opinion. Unibet really deliver, the layout is so clean and fresh and has been tried and tested and the site has won awards. Everything is laid out clearly so you can see odds and click through markets really quickly. When you land on the homepage you will see blocks of the different sports that are going on or are upcoming.

The blocks are Upcoming, In-Play, Recommended For You and English Football Betting. It looks a lot, to be honest, but remarkably they have laid out the design so well that it’s a very practical homepage really when you stop and look at it. It’s easy to see the highlights of the sportsbook there and that is something we found beneficial when sizing up the Unibet website.

You have the option to switch to a full list view of current in-play events only if that’s where you wanted to head. The menu is well spaced out so you can see sports easily and there are quick links to the popular menu items, including things like Matchday Specials and Enhanced Accas. Each menu option has a cool little icon next to it.

Unibet has a dedicated Sports App which is available to users both on Android and iOS. This allows you to get their secure betting service right at your fingertips. In looking at things for our Unibet app review, we found you can get notifications and enjoy all the live in-play betting action as well.

It is really easy to navigate as well and very responsive. We liked how easy it was to switch from one market to another. All round, a top user-friendly experience. We will just make a nod towards how fast we found the interface to be.

Unibet Customer Service & Support, Security & Reliability 9/10

Unibet Customer Service

The Unibet help section is organised very well so you can probably find answers there to questions without needing their support. If you need to make contact with them, you can go through their chat portal which has an average response time of 30 seconds. You can email them as well and the average response time is less than three hours. As far as we could see, the easiest way to actually contact them was through email. A bit more on the phone support side would probably be better. They do also have a player community available which has been designed to help answer any other questions.

Our Unibet review rating: 9 / 10

Unibet review

Unibet is one of the top providers out there and everything from the very basic functions through to their original features is just done with quality. There is the feeling of quality in running throughout the entire website, from the market variety and odds strength through to the live in-play betting and live streams.

This is a high-quality operator, an award-winning one as well and they should be really considered as an online betting option. They won the IGA 2014 Operator of the Year Award and we liked all of the features that were running through the site. It just builds a very easy environment to be in and do your betting on. In our Unibet bookmaker review, a couple of the highlights are their live in-play betting and their mobile app.
