Stoke City’s Championship season finally got going last weekend, as Lee Gregory netted the only goal of the game against Preston North End at Deepdale. Prior to that, the Potters had drawn with Millwall and lost to Bristol City.
Stoke edged past Blackpool at the bet365 Stadium in the first round of the EFL Cup back in August. They then beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in round two thanks to a late Jacob Brown goal.
