Continuing in the National League, Barnet will be looking for a fifth consecutive win in the non-league top flight when they take on Maidenhead United as the betting tips continue in Saturday’s domestic fixtures.
Barnet made a stuttering start to their new National League campaign as The Bees found life in the fifth tier difficult to adjust to, as they were without a win from their first five matches of the season.
But under experienced manager, John Still, Barnet have revived their fortunes with four wins on the trot against Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge, Dover Athletic and Bromley respectively, and will no doubt be keen to keep their momentum going against Maidenhead on Saturday.
However, Barnet have still only won once at The Hive so far this season so it may not be all plain sailing for the hosts here.
Onto Maidenhead United, and the Berkshire outfit secured a valuable three points during the week with a solid 2-0 home win over struggling Eastleigh at their York Road Stadium which extended the visitors’ unbeaten run to four matches.
Maidenhead have won three of these last four with wins gained over Maidstone United, Braintree Town and the aforementioned Eastleigh victory, as well as a point in a 2-2 draw at home with Bromley.
Alan Devonshire’s side certainly seem to be on the rise and with young hot prospect Joe Kelly (3 goals) showing signs of promise in scoring a couple of decent strikes against Eastleigh, the visitors look a decent bet to keep things tight when they make their way to London for this Saturday’s clash.
