Barrow to hold their own against Chesterfield

National League Tips

BARROW v CHESTERFIELD

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Tuesday night brings us match day four in the National League and the next betting tip features Barrow taking on Chesterfield at the Furness Building Society Stadium with the hosts looking to improve upon an indifferent start to their season.

Barrow’s season has started with a 3-0 home win over new-boys Havant & Waterlooville, a 2-0 defeat away at Halifax Town and a decent point in a 2-2 draw away at Leyton Orient on the weekend.

The hosts narrowly avoided defeat at the end of last season in the non-league top flight by just a slender one point margin, finishing with a home record of  4-10-9  23/29 which as you can see, was laden with stalemates. Indeed, only Eastleigh (11 draws) were involved in more draws on home turf. Striker, Hindle (3 goals) looks the danger man up front for the home side.

Chesterfield have made a good start to their new campaign in the National League as they’ve racked up three straight wins on the trot to hand The Spireites a 100% winning record coming into this midweek clash.

An opening day 1-0 win away at Ebbsfleet United was followed by back-to-back home wins over Aldershot Town 3-0 and Braintree Town 1-0 and manager, Martin Allen will also be pleased with three clean sheets on the trot as well.

The visitors will no doubt be keen to make a swift return to the Football League and League Two but it’ll be interesting to see how they fare in what is a highly competitive league, especially away from home where they’ll be visiting a lot of grounds for the first time, including tonight’s opponents, Barrow.

With home advantage here, I’m expecting Barrow to narrow the odds of a Chesterfield win and this could well end up a draw this evening.

Pick: Draw @ 3.60 bet365 (odds taken at 00:10 GMT, 13 Aug 2018)
