There’s action from the French top flight on Wednesday night with Bordeaux taking on Guingamp as the betting tips continue in Ligue 1 at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique with the hosts looking to lift themselves closer to a more respectable mid-table position.
Bordeaux Prediction
Bordeaux occupy a disappointing 13th place on the Ligue 1 ladder and although they’re safely away from any relegation danger with an 11 point cushion between themselves and third from bottom club Dijon, the hosts will be keen to lift themselves up into a mid-table position.
After a recent run of three defeats on the trot with losses against Strasbourg, Marseille and PSG, all of which were away from home I might add, Bordeaux returned to their Stade Matmut-Atlantique last time out in Ligue 1 to record a much needed 2-1 win over Toulouse.
Bordeaux manager Eric Bedouet will be wanting more of the same here on Wednesday night when they prepare for the visit of rock bottom outfit Guingamp, and with a pretty reasonable home record of 6-4-2 18/13 under their belts on home turf this season, the hosts will be confident of grabbing all three points here.
Bordeaux are unbeaten in their last six matches on home soil, which includes wins over Saint Etienne, Dijon and Toulouse.

Guingamp Prediction
As mentioned earlier, Guingamp sit bottom of Ligue 1 with just 14 points to their name and find themselves seven points from safety as they make their way to Bordeaux to face a solid home outfit in a bid to claw their way out of the bottom three.
However, this may well be easier said than done as Guingamp have lost their last four matches on the trot with defeats to PSG (in a 9-0 thrashing), as well as losses to Reims, Lille and Lyon, along with recording just three league wins all season to date.
Although Guingamp have actually recorded more wins away from home than at their Stade du Roudourou, they still possess a poor looking record on their travels of 2-2-8 7/29 with only Amiens (6 goals) possessing a lower goal tally away from home than Guingamp in Ligue 1 this term.
Guingamp have failed to score in 6 of their 12 away matches and have conceded 2 goals or more in 8 of these 12 away matches, including that 9-0 obliteration at the hands of PSG last month.
Betting Tips Verdict
With Bordeaux’s solid run of form at home and Guingamp’s struggles on the road, this looks like being an easy home win but the handicap offers further safety here.
