Brazil Preview – Can Brazil roll on?

Although Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw by Ecuador in their final match of the group stage in Group B, they’d not only already finished top of the group but also secured their place in the knockout stage of this Copa America.

Three wins and a draw have seen Brazil continue their impressive form under manager, Tite, with the hosts now unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions which include eight wins along with keeping seven clean sheets, so they look to be a formidable opponent for Chile.

In addition, Brazil have won 14 of the last 15 meetings at home against Chile and the host nation look to have the upper hand over Chile again in this quarter-final.

 

 

Chile Preview – Can Chile break Brazil’s dominance?

Chile were somewhat fortunate to claim the last spot in these knockout stages of this Copa America as they finished in 4th place in the five-nation Group A, having managed just one win the group games.

Chile’s sole success came in the shape of a narrow 1-0 win against Bolivia but it was a far from convincing display, as indeed their group campaign which saw Chile draw with Argentina and Uruguay along with a loss to Paraguay.

With just four wins from their last 17 matches in all competitions, Chile look to have their work cut out to get the better of Brazil in this quarter-final.
