Another Premier League side in action on Sunday evening in the 3rd round of the FA Cup features Chelsea taking on Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday as the betting tips continue at Stamford Bridge with the hosts looking to progress in another cup competition within the space of a week.
Chelsea Prediction
Chelsea recently disposed of Tottenham in the semi-finals of the League Cup eventually winning the tie via a penalty shoot-out but Maurizio Sarri’s side got the job done and have progressed to at least one cup final this season to date.
Recent form though has been questionable from Chelsea despite wins over Nottingham Forest in the previous round of the FA Cup and a 2-1 home win over Newcastle United in the Premier League as they’ve also fallen to important defeats to Leicester City and Arsenal which has cost them valuable ground on the top three teams in the English top flight.
Manager Sarri knows he needs to continue to pick his troops up as they look to close in on at least a top four finish to feature in next season’s Champions League in addition to balancing his squad ahead of this cup-tie.
Chelsea are expected to be heavily rotated for this tie with the likes of Hudson-Odoi and new signing Higuain likely to feature while Hazard, Willian and Giroud are likely to be missing.

Sheffield Wednesday have produced another disappointing campaign for their fans in the Championship as they currently occupy a lowly 17th place in the second tier but they do possess a valuable and comfortable 12-point over the bottom three as they turn their attentions to a potential giant-killing at Stamford Bridge.
The Owls come into this 4th round FA Cup tie having secured back-to-back wins with a 3rd round win over League One side Luton Town (needing a replay at Kenilworth Road to progress), as well as a 1-0 home win over Wigan Athletic in last week’s Championship clash.
Results have been generally inconsistent this season though and their away form is no exception but this opens the door for a look at both teams scoring in their away matches; 9 of their 16 away matches have seen both teams score, and with forwards Nuhiu, Fletcher and Joao vying for starting positions up front, the visitors could well carry a serious goal threat too.
