Gerhard Struber’s Barnsley could face another fierce fight for survival in the Championship this season. The Tykes survived by the skin of their teeth last term by winning their last two games.

Despite their poor start in the league, Barnsley have won two out of two in the League Cup. A Cauley Woodrow goal was enough to give the Tykes a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at Oakwell in round one. Barnsley then won at Middlesbrough, with Patrick Schmidt and Jordan Williams netting in the 2-0 victory at the Riverside Stadium.
