Chelsea Preview – Blues to ease past League One side?

This will be Chelsea’s final game before jetting off to the FIFA Club World Cup. They have been in patchy form of late, though they did get past London rivals Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-0 home Premier League win in their last one.

Chelsea are usually very strong in the FA Cup, and Thomas Tuchel’s men started this season’s campaign with a comfortable home win over Chesterfield. Goals from Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku, Andreas Christensen and Hakim Ziyech gave the Blues a 5-1 triumph.

Chelsea have already booked their place in the Carabao Cup final, where they will face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Wembley Stadium later in the month. They will also be looking to go far in the FA Cup. In truth, the Londoners should cruise into round five.

Plymouth Argyle Preview – Tough day at the office for the Pilgrims?

Plymouth Argyle are fighting for promotion from League One this season. At the time of writing, the Pilgrims are just outside the top six. They picked up their first league win since Boxing Day last weekend, easing to a 3-1 victory at Doncaster Rovers.

In round one of the FA Cup, Plymouth needed a replay to see off fellow League One side Sheffield Wednesday before winning 2-1 at Rochdale in the second round. In round three, an extra-time Ryan Law goal gave Argyle a 1-0 victory against EFL Championship side Birmingham City at St Andrew’s.

Chelsea should have no problems against the League One side on Saturday. No disrespect to Plymouth, but this should be a comfortable stroll in the park for the current UEFA Champions League holders. With that in mind, take a punt on Chelsea to win both halves at 4/7.

Timo Werner opened the scoring in Chelsea’s thumping 5-1 victory over Chesterfield in round three. The Germany international is available at 4/1 to net the first goal of this one.
