Chelsea Preview – Can the Blues get back to winning ways at the Bridge?

Chelsea have booked their spot in the last four of the EFL Cup despite winning just one game in 90 minutes. They needed penalties to see off both Aston Villa and Southampton at Stamford Bridge in the early rounds. In the quarters, Chelsea beat west London rivals Brentford 2-0 away from home.

Chelsea warmed up for this cup semi-final by drawing with title rivals Liverpool last Sunday. Thomas Tuchel’s boys would have wanted the win, but after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2, it was certainly a point gained.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
4/5

Chelsea have struggled in front of their own fans of late, drawing three on the bounce at Stamford Bridge. Nevertheless, the current European champions will want to take a lead to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview – Can Conte get a result against former club?

Antonio Conte has done a fine job since arriving at Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are unbeaten in the Premier League since Conte’s arrival, winning five and drawing three of eight. Last time out, a late Davison Sanchez goal gave them an invaluable 1-0 win at Watford.

Tottenham reached the last eight thanks to Nuno Espirito Santo. The Portuguese, who was sacked in November, guided the Lilywhites to EFL Cup victories over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley. Conte was in charge of Tottenham’s 2-1 quarter-final success over West Ham United last month.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Advice

Back in September, Chelsea cruised to victory in a Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs had a decent first half but imploded in the second, as goals from Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger earned the Blues an easy 3-0 win.

Chelsea took four points from the two league meetings last season, but Tottenham did beat them in the Carabao Cup. After a 1-1 draw in normal time, Spurs won 5-4 on penalties to go through.

Key Facts – Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tip

  • Cheslea won 3-0 at Tottenham in September
  • Spurs are unbeaten in the league under Conte
  • The Blues have drawn four of their last five at home

Chelsea have struggled for wins at Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, with four of their last five home matches ending all square. Tottenham would certainly take a draw now if offered, and we like the look of the draw and both teams to score at 15/4.

Lucas Moura has been a real hero for Tottenham in this competition this season, scoring in wins over Burnley and West Ham. The Brazilian is priced at 15/4 to net anytime on Wednesday.
