Cheltenham Town registered a vital 3-2 home win against Macclesfield Town on Saturday and it was even more impressive as The Robins found themselves 2-0 down with just 24 minutes on the clock, but a second half rally saw Cheltenham grab three goals to win 3-2 and earn a valuable three points.
Cheltenham not only eased their immediate relegation worries with that win but also ended a three-match losing streak following defeats to Crawley Town, Tranmere Rovers and Carlisle United, but they face west country rivals Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.
The hosts are in reasonable form at Whaddon Road as they’ve lost just once at home in their last seven matches which was a 3-1 loss to Tranmere Rovers, but a home record of 4-4-6 18/23 is the result of some good recent performances on home soil.

Yeovil Town sit two league positions and two points adrift of Cheltenham Town but they suffered a second defeat on the trot on the weekend when they lost 1-0 away at Stevenage, after losing 2-0 at home to Lincoln City.
Yeovil have managed just two league wins from their last 14 matches overall which were gained over Mansfield Town and Notts County, but it’s generally been a pretty lean spell for The Glovers as they look to get something out of this match and put further distance between themselves and the bottom two.
There is reasonably good news though as Yeovil have recorded five away wins so far this season which is more than any team situated below mid-table Swindon Town, as the visitors possess an away record of 5-2-7 17/13 which also includes a positive goal difference.
Although they’ve posted mixed results in recent weeks, their win at 2nd placed Mansfield Town should be respected, as too their front pair of forwards Fisher (6 goals) and Arquin (4 goals).
