Dagenham & Redbridge moved into the play-off pack in the National League on Saturday with a 4-2 home win over Hartlepool United, but they’re likely to face tougher opposition on Tuesday night when they play host to eighth placed Boreham Wood at their Chigwell Construction Stadium.
Dagenham’s win over Hartlepool ended a run of four league matches without success following defeats to Eastleigh and Leyton Orient as well as draws against Ebbsfleet United and the return home game with Leyton Orient.
The Daggers have home advantage once again this evening where they possess a fairly good home record of 9-2-3 28/16 which includes just one defeat from their last six matches on home turf. Forwards Cheek, Ferrier and Whitely have all scored 8 goals apiece so far this season.
Boreham Wood continue to be a thorn in most of the National League’s sides as they earned another point on Saturday by holding Leyton Orient to a 0-0 draw at the Matchroom Stadium, and indeed, Boreham Wood have now lost just once in their last 16 league matches.
The visitors have been involved in a number of stalemates so far this season (11 to be precise), but their stubborn and resilient character means they’ve enjoyed a pretty successful campaign to date; they’re on the fringes of the play-off pack and hold a pretty solid looking away record of 4-8-2 19/13 so far.
In fact, Boreham Wood have drawn the most matches away from home in the division, and they’re unbeaten in their last eight on the road (six of which have been stalemates!)
