Sarina Wiegman’s England have been in sensational form in this European Championship tournament. Backed by their incredible home support, the Lionesses won Group A at a canter, taking nine points from a possible nine.
The English made a nervy start, picking up a 1-0 win over Austria in front of nearly 70,000 at Old Trafford. However, the nerves had disappeared by matchday two, as the Lionesses walloped Norway 8-0 at the Amex to go through with one game spare.

Spain were the tournament favourites before a ball was kicked in anger in England, but Jorge Vilda’s troops have not quite lived up to the billing just yet. Still, they are through to the knockouts after taking six points.
La Roja kicked off Group B with a comfortable victory over Finland. The Finns went a goal up after a minute, but Spain bounced back to win 4-1 at Stadium MK. The Spaniards were then beaten by Germany in Brentford in game two.
