Vardy to bite hand that used to feed him when Leicester take on Fleetwood

FA Cup & League Cup Tips

FLEETWOOD TOWN v LEICESTER CITY

Saturday 6th January 2018 – Kickoff: 1245hrs

Football – England – FA Cup Betting Tips

The third round of the FA Cup continues on Saturday, and the early kick-off features League One outfit, Fleetwood Town, taking on Premier League big boys, Leicester City at Highbury Stadium as the hosts face one of their former players.

Fleetwood sit mid-table in League One after what has been an inconsistent first half of the season for the home side who have won nine of their 26 matches played to date in the league. A third round appearance in the FA Cup will be a welcome break from the rigours of league football for the Cod Army who have lost four of their last six.

Fleetwood reached the third round of the cup last season but lost to Championship side, Bristol City, and they’ve reached the same stage this season following wins over non-league outfits, Chorley and Hereford respectively.

Leicester City ended a dismal run of four matches without a win in the Premier League last time out with a resounding 3-0 home win over Huddersfield Town, and they’ll be in confident mood this Saturday as they make their way up to Fleetwood for this cup tie.

Striker, Jamie Vardy, faces one of his former clubs after a brief spell with Halifax Town, and it was at Fleetwood Town where he helped them achieve promotion from the National League and also where he made a name for himself by scoring 31 goals in the 2011/12 season which grabbed the attention of his present club, Leicester City.

It’s been a meteoric rise to fame for Vardy whose sheer hard work has paid huge dividends for both himself and The Foxes, and with a goalscoring ratio of almost 1:2, he’s a dangerous commodity in the final third of any pitch he plays on, and looks set to bite the hand that used to feed him!
