Champions of 1. divisjon in 2021, which is the Norwegian equivalent to what the Championship is in England. Ham-Kam have made a steady, if unspectacular, start to life back in their first top-flight campaign for 14 years. Odd – Another arduous season ahead?

Having ended the previous Eliteserien campaign in 13th – one place above the relegation play-off – we probably shouldn’t be surprised that Odd are again flirting with danger. This will be the club’s fifth consecutive spell in the Norwegian top tier, and it could well be their toughest to date if their recent form can serve as a reliable barometer. With goals and points drying up for Pal Arne Johansen’s side.

In their latest assignment, Odd failed to land a blow at home to a Sandefjord outfit that begun the round worse off in the table, going down 1-0. Marking a fifth loss in six for the side nicknamed ‘Oddrane’. Each of their last four losses, meanwhile, were ‘to nil’, having found the net once across the last five fixtures. Even more alarming, however, is the fact they’ve mustered one away goal thus far in four such matches (W1 L3).
