Football – Europe – Euro 2016 Betting Tips

Next up are two matches from Group F with the first featuring Iceland and Hungary as we enter the second round matches of the group on Saturday evening at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

Iceland produced a solid and impressive display against Portugal to earn a point in their first group match as they held the Portuguese to a 1-1 draw which keeps them in the hunt for a place in the knock-out stages.

However, there’s a long way to go yet, particularly in this group as all the teams within it seem very evenly matched, despite the usual pre-tournament hype that surrounds Portugal wherever they play. Incidentally, Iceland have won just three matches from their last 13 overall in all competitions.

Hungary took a big step towards progressing out of Group F in their opening group game with a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Austria which raised a few eyebrows around the footballing world. Hungary, along with tonight’s opponents Iceland, were expected to be fighting for the third place in the group behind Austria and Portugal, but early results have thrown this out of the window!

Indeed, Hungary have lost on just three occasions from their last 17 matches in all competitions, and they’ll head into this evening’s encounter against Iceland in confident mood. If they can secure another three points tonight, they’ll be through to the knock-out stages.

Midfielder and Hungarian talisman Zoltan Gera will operate just in front of the back four and will look to direct the traffic once again from midfield, and they also have the likes of Priskin and Stieber up front to cause Iceland’s defence some headaches.

I’ll back Hungary with the well-priced round ball here to at least avoid defeat.
