Kristiansund – Just happy to be playing again?
For some, a third of the Norwegian top-flight season has already been completed. Not Kristiansund, though, playing catch up after playing as many as three games fewer than some sides. This has left them with plenty to do in order to haul themselves out of danger. A gap of six points has opened up on them, in last place, and their closest competitor, while the distance to the relative safety of a relegation play-off is seven.
Kristiansund, having earned a respectable sixth place finish in 2021, undoubtedly have the ability and fixtures with which to save themselves. A third consecutive league title is looking beyond 2020 and 2021 Eliteserien champions Bodo/Glimt, even at this early stage.
