Latvia – Can Latvia avoid a fourth defeat on the trot?
Latvia have made a horrific start to their Euro 2020 campaign following three defeats on the trot and their chances of claiming a top two finish in Group G now seemingly hang by a thread as they still have yet to gain a point and are already 7 points adrift of 2nd placed Israel prior to Monday night’s action.
The hosts were handed defeats to North Macedonia 3-1, Poland 2-0 and Israel 3-0 which has left them bottom of the group, and although they return to their Daugavas Stadionā for this clash, they look to be up against it when Slovenia visit.

Slovenia Prediction – Can Slovenia stay in race for 2nd place?
Slovenia’s 5-match unbeaten run came to an end last time out in these European qualifiers when they lost 1-0 away at Austria, but the visitors had previously drawn their past 5 matches on the trot with stalemates against Cyprus, Norway, Bulgaria, Israel and North Macedonia.
Slovenia have started their Euro 2020 campaign with back-to-back draws along with the loss to Austria which has gained them 2 points from their first three group matches of these qualifiers, but they have a golden opportunity to grab a precious three points against a floundering Latvia outfit who have already lost their first three matches on the trot in this group phase.
Results away from home have also been ordinary though for Slovenia who have registered just 1 win out of their last 12 matches on their travels which was a 2-0 win away at Montenegro in an international friendly, so they’re not guaranteed of the points here either.
Of the two teams though, Slovenia appear to be better equipped to take the points in this clash.
