Latvia host Moldova at Daugava Stadium this Thursday in UEFA Nations League action. The Latvians lead the way at the top of League D, Group 1 and look nailed on for promotion to League C. Latvia have had a superb Nations League campaign so far. Dainis Kazakevics, who took over in 2020, has guided 11 Wolves to four wins out of four. Along the way, the Latvians have scored ten and shipped just two.
Latvia kicked off Group D1 with an easy 3-0 home success over Andorra in June. They then beat Liechtenstein 1-0 and Moldova 4-2. In the last fixture, a Vladislavs Gutkovskis brace gave Latvia a 2-0 victory against Liechtenstein at Rheinpark Stadium in Vaduz.

These two played out a six-goal thriller when they locked horns at Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau in June. Gutkovskis and Janis Ikaunieks scored two each as the Latvians left with an impressive 4-2 victory.
