Montenegro Prediction – Can Montenegro get off the mark?

Although Montenegro have picked up 2 points from their first 4 matches of their Euro 2020 campaign, Tuesday night’s hosts are still in search of their first win of these group matches having drawn 1-1 with both Bulgaria (away) and high-flying Kosovo (at home).

Within their 4-match start in Group A are also heavy defeats to England 5-1 at home and a 3-0 loss on the road at tonight’s opponents, Czech Republic, so Montenegro will no doubt be keen to record their first win of this campaign, but also avenge that recent defeat to Czech Republic.

However, with just 2 wins out of their last 13 Euro qualifiers overall, the immediate signs aren’t good, but dig a bit deeper and look at results at home and the picture brightens a little for the hosts as they’ve won 4 of their 12 home ties.

Czech Republic Prediction – Can Czech Republic remain in frame?

3rd placed Czech Republic’s ambitions of finishing in the top two of Group A were dealt a major blow over the weekend when they were handed a 2-1 defeat away at Kosovo but they’re still just 3 points adrift of the group leaders, England, heading into this crucial clash in Montenegro.

It’s been a mixed return for Czech Republic so far in these Euro 2020 qualifiers as the visitors have won 2 and lost 2 in their first 4 matches of this group campaign which include wins over Bulgaria 2-1 and Montenegro 3-0, both of which were recorded on home turf at their Generali Arena in Prague.

However, results away from home have been less favourable as Czech Republic have suffered back-to-back defeats at England 5-0 and the aforementioned 2-1 loss at Kosovo. This poor start on the road for the visitors also puts me off backing them for the straight win here, but again, the goals markets looks enticing.

9 of Czech Republic’s last 11 matches away from home in Euro qualifiers have resulted with both teams scoring, and given Montenegro hold home advantage together with Czech Republic’s poor start on the road, this trend could well continue here on Tuesday night.
