NEWPORT COUNTY v BARNET
Tuesday 21st November 2017 – Kickoff: 1945hrs
Football – England – League Two Betting Tips
Newport County take on League Two strugglers, Barnet at Rodney Parade on Tuesday night in a match which represents a great opportunity for Newport County to take all three points here this evening after three stalemates from their last four overall.
County are without a win from their last five league matches overall, and this includes three draws with Mansfield Town, Port Vale and Accrington Stanley, but the point away at the aforementioned high-flying Accrington should give them confidence ahead of Tuesday nights clash.
In addition, Newport have made themselves a hard team to beat on home turf as their record of 4-3-1 11/5 indicates, which includes wins over Chesterfield, Cheltenham, Grimsby Town and Yeovil Town. Forwards Nouble and Amond (6 goals apiece) are dangerous customers.
Visitors Barnet slumped to a third league defeat on the trot on Saturday afternoon when they lost 1-0 away at Port Vale which followed previous defeats to Accrington Stanley and Colchester United, and indeed, The Bees are without a league win from their last 12 matches overall.
Barnet’s last win in League Two came in a 3-1 home win over Cambridge United back in early September, but the rot has well and truly set in which has prompted a change of management with Mark McGhee being recently appointed into the Barnet hot-seat.
McGhee has a hell of a job on his hands to keep The Bees up, particularly as they’ve lost their last five away matches on the trot along with failing to keep a single clean sheet on their travels so far this season.
I’ll therefore go with Newport County here for the points.
