Notts County to kick-start promotion push against Stevenage

League One/Two Tips

NOTTS COUNTY v STEVENAGE

Saturday 24th February 2018 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Notts County manager, Kevin Nolan, will be keen for his side to fire up in Saturday’s home game with Stevenage in League Two after seeing his side falter in their bid for automatic promotion in recent matches.

True, County have registered wins over Crewe Alexandra and Carlisle United in recent times, but these were both at Meadow Lane, and were the only wins that The Magpies have managed to produce from their last eight matches overall in the fourth tier.

However, Notts County have responded well to recent back-to-back defeats to Exeter City and Crawley Town on home turf, and they still possess a strong looking home record of  11-4-2  34/16 where all three points today could move them within touching distance of the top three.

Stevenage will be hoping they can continue where they left off last time out as they secured all three points with a 4-1 rout of Yeovil Town at their Lamex Stadium last Saturday, when they make the trip up to Nottingham for this afternoon’s clash in League Two.

Borough had previously endured a four match run without a win which saw Stevenage lose to Swindon Town, Accrington Stanley and Forest Green Rovers, along with a creditable point at home with Luton Town, but the win over Yeovil have lifted them away from the bottom regions of the division.

The fact remains though, that Stevenage have managed just one win from their last 12 matches away from home, which was a 1-0 win at struggling Chesterfield, while their away record stands at a sub-standard  4-2-11  14/30.

Notts County need the points more in this one.
