Orleans recently ended a run of six matches without a win in Ligue 2 when they recorded a much needed 2-1 win away at Beziers last time out, but although they return to their home ground for this Friday night clash they’ll be up against the league leaders, Metz.

Onto Metz, and as mentioned earlier, the visitors sit top of Ligue 2 with a three point lead over second placed Brest, but also hold a commanding 9 point lead over third placed Lens ahead of this important Friday night fixture at Orleans.
Metz bring a strong recent sequence of results with them into this encounter with four wins from their last five matches overall with victories gained over Chateauroux, Gazelec Ajaccio, Red Star and Valenciennes, while their away record stands at an impressive 7-2-1 16/8.
The visitors are unbeaten in their last five on the road as well, with their solid record owing much to a solid defensive unit which has kept four clean sheets to date on their travels. Midfielders N’Guette and Boulaya (4 goals apiece) have provided good support for forwards Diallo (15 goals) and Niane (5 goals).
