Paraguay Preview – Can Paraguay convert draws into wins?
A recent spate of draws have been frustrating for Paraguay as they head into this Copa America Group A opener against Bolivia on the back of three draws out of their last four matches in the World Cup qualifiers which includes a 2-2 draw with Monday’s opponents, Bolivia, back in November.
Indeed, Paraguay have drawn six of their last nine matches in all competitions and although they’ve suffered just one defeat in this period, Paraguay have also picked up just two wins in the process.

However, Bolivia have a knack of clawing their way out of trouble and are tough and stubborn opponents, and this has resulted in Bolivia putting together a three-match unbeaten run in the World Cup qualifiers with draws against Paraguay and Chile (both away from home) along with a 3-1 home win against Venezuela.
Although they’re out of their high altitude comfort zone, Bolivia can keep things tight against Paraguay and stand a decent chance of perhaps picking up a point here.
