Two divisions separate the following teams as they prepare for this 1st Round FA Cup replay with National League side Salford City taking on League One outfit Shrewsbury Town as the betting tips continue on Wednesday night.
Let’s take a look at Salford City first and the non-league high-flyers currently sit second in the National League just one point behind Leyton Orient, but whilst the top divisions would probably see a re-shuffle of the squad due to a priority of league over FA Cup, Salford will be keen to boost the coffers by going on a decent cup run.

By contrast, Shrewsbury Town are now a shadow of their former selves as last season’s League One play-off finalists now sit in the bottom half of the third tier in 16th place, with former manager Paul Hurst having left the club to take over at Ipswich Town.
Hurst has since been sacked by Ipswich and with the club in the bottom half of the division further developments seem to be in the pipeline. Nevertheless, The Shrews come into this important cup-tie on the back of two wins on the trot in the league over AFC Wimbledon (2-1 away) and a 3-2 home win over Rochdale.
Switch to their results away from home though and although they’ve won their last two on the road, these are Shrewsbury’s only victories from their last 10 matches in all competitions, and they may not fancy a trip up north on a Wednesday night for a hiding-to-nothing cup-tie here.
