Southampton Preview – Can the Saints pick up first league victory?
Southampton have had a difficult start to their season, failing to win any of their opening seven Premier League games. The Saints kicked off their season with a 3-1 loss to Everton at Goodison Park.
After the reverse in Merseyside in mid-August, Southampton went on to draw their next four in the league, holding Manchester United, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Manchester City to stalemates. Unfortunately for Ralph Hasenhuttl and his men, they then lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea.
Southampton will be desperate to secure their first Premier League win of the season as soon as possible. They are the bookies’ favourites in this one, but Leeds will provide a stern test for the Saints.
Leeds United Preview – Will the Whites build on Watford win?
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United began their Premier League season with no wins from their opening six. They drew with Everton, Burnley and Newcastle, and were beaten by Man United, Liverpool and West Ham.
They finally picked up maximum points in game seven, edging past Watford at Elland Road. Diego Llorente’s goal in the 18th minute was enough to give the Yorkshire side a precious three points in front of their home supporters. Leeds will be hoping to build on that with a win in Hampshire at the weekend.

United head to St Mary’s as the second favourites, but Bielsa’s boys will be buoyed by their victory over the Hornets, and Leeds will fancy their chances of making it back-to-back Premier League wins. The visitors are priced at 15/8 to leave with the points.
