Spain Prediction – Can Spain preserve unbeaten status?

Predictably, Spain have lived up to their favourites tag in Group F as Monday night’s hosts sit top of the group with a 5-point margin ahead of 2nd placed Sweden prior to this final round of matches in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Having won 7 of their 9 matches to date in Group F, Spain have sailed through these qualifiers especially on home soil as they possess an excellent 100% winning record with a home record of 4-0-0 16/1 which is conspicuous by the fact that they’ve averaged 4 goals per game and kept 3 clean sheets on the trot.

Spain still remain unbeaten in these group matches to date and no doubt Robert Moreno’s side will be keen to preserve their unbeaten status at home on Monday night when they play host to Romania.

With an incredible run of 21 home wins on the trot in Euro qualifiers with 16 of these 21 wins also resulting in over 2.5 goals scored, Spain look set for another comfortable win here.

Romania Prediction – Can Romania edge 3rd place?

Both 3rd placed Romania and 4th placed Norway head into this final round of matches in Group F level on 14 points apiece but it’s Romania who undoubtedly have the tougher task of collecting points in this round as Norway travel to bottom nation Malta in the other match.

Nevertheless, it’s been a reasonable Euro 2020 campaign to date for Romania who have held their own in a difficult group as they’ve registered wins against Faroe Islands and Malta (both home and away legs against each nation) and held Norway to 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.

Home and away defeats to Sweden along with a 2-1 loss at home against tonight’s hosts, Spain, though have meant that Romania will now be hoping they can grab 3rd place and a possible play-off scenario via the Nations League in order to qualify for next year’s European Championships.

However, even if Romania somehow manage to get a result against Spain it may all be for nothing if Norway inflict a heavy defeat upon Malta, and although they’ve lost just 1 of their last 11 Euro qualifiers away from home, Romania are expected to be up against it here.
