The last time Toulouse were in Ligue 1, which was the Covid-affected 2019/20 term, they finished bottom of the table on 13 points, after winning only three of 28 games. Neymar continued his scintillating form, winning and then converting the penalty which restored parity at the Parc des Princes, but it was an otherwise forgettable night in front of goal for Christophe Galtier’s men.

As such, the Parisians will be keen to reassert their authority when they visit a Toulouse outfit adjusting well to life back in France’s top tier. So this may not be entirely straightforward either, and history suggests this could indeed be the case. PSG winning the last five meetings but only via a 1-0 scoreline in three of the last four.
