Tunisia Prediction- Can Tunisia press home their dominance?

Tunisia will be looking to go a couple of steps better this time around in the African Cup of Nations as they lost in the quarter-finals back in 2017.

A 2-0 loss to Burkina Faso saw Tunisia crash out at the last eight stage of the tournament, but having won 4 of their last 5 matches overall, they’ll be confident ahead of this clash.

Recent wins against Eswatini, Iraq, Craotia and Burundi in international friendlies should hold the favourites for this clash in good stead.

A 1-0 loss away at Algeria has been Tunisia’s only blot on their copy-book in recent times, while away from home, Tunisia have won 4 of their last 6 on their travels.

Wins away from home at Panama, Eswatini, Niger and most impressive of all, Croatia, will give them confidence of making a winning start to their Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Tunisia are unbeaten in their previous three encounters against Angola, winning one and drawing the other two matches.

The jewel in Tunisia’s crown is Saint-Etienne forward, Khazri, while midfielder Sliti should also be watched closely.

Angola Prediction – Can Angola cause upset in group opener?

Although Angola head into their Group E opener against Tunisia on the back of a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau, they look to be under-prepared for this tournament.

That recent win against Guinea-Bissau has been Angola’s only match since March when they recorded a 1-0 win away at Botswana in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

However, cancellations against Eswatini, Mauritius, Comoros and South Africa may see Tunisia’s Monday night opponents underdone ahead of this opening clash.

Results away from home haven’t been convincing either as Angola have managed just 2 wins out of their last 8 matches on the road.

These sporadic wins have come in the shape of a win over Zimbabwe on penalties (after it ended 2-2) and Botswana, but these have been occasional highlights.

Defeats to Nigeria, South Africa, Botswana and Mauritania perhaps show that Angola are destined to be struggling in this Group E of this current tournament.
