Wrexham to stay top of league with win over Halifax

National League Tips

WREXHAM v HALIFAX TOWN

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Wrexham have emerged as the leaders of the National League (albeit on goal difference), as they’ve recently ousted Macclesfield at the top of the division, and the Welsh club will be keen to continue their impressive run of form at the Racecourse Ground against Halifax Town today.

The Dragons bring an eight match unbeaten run with them into this weekend’s non league action, which includes recent wins over Torquay United, Hartlepool United and Guiseley, while their record on home turf goes from strength to strength.

Wrexham possess a record of  8-7-1  24/11 at the Racecourse, and they’re unbeaten since their opening home game of the season where they went down to a 1-0 loss to Macclesfield Town, but have posted a 15 match unbeaten sequence since. Forward Holroyd (13 goals) will be looking to add to his personal goal tally here.

Halifax Town have been drifting down the National League table in recent times and they’re now just two league positions and four points above the relegation zone as they look to buck a recent trend of matches without a win.

The Shaymen have gone six league matches without a win in the non league top flight, and possess a rather ordinary looking away record of  3-6-7 12/22 which includes firing blanks in each of their last three on the road.

In fact, one win from their last 11 on their travels doesn’t fill me with any confidence that they can turn things around here, especially as they’re up against a strong Wrexham outfit in their own back-yard.
