13:50 Ripon Trophy Stakes Odds & Tips: William Hill offer 5/2 on Bahrain Pride – 31st August 2020

The experience of Internationaldream could be the difference-maker in 2-year-old contest

Race 4 from Ripon on Monday sees 9 declared runners taking on the Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy Stakes.

This Ripon Trophy Stakes is a Listed Class 1 race which is, as the name suggests, only open to 2 year olds.

It’s a 6f sprint that the runners will be taking on, with the going expected to be soft.

Last year’s winner was PLATINUM STAR from a 6/4 SP (Callum Shepherd / S bin Suroor).

Heading up the market for this year’s renewal is BAHRAIN PRIDE.

Ripon Trophy Stakes Odds

Bahrain Pride 5/2
Internatioanldream 7/2
Queen Of Rio 4/1
Roman Dynasty 6/1
The Flying Ginger 15/2
Terrichang 8/1
Albadri 11/2

Bahrain Pride is the 5/2 favourite for Trophy Stakes

This is a big juvenile contest, but it doesn’t look quite as strong of a renewal overall as last year’s was.

Anyway, BAHRAIN PRIDE is the current 5/2 favourite for the contest* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 19:59 GMT on Sunday, 30th August 2020).

He made a successful debut appearance, which was in a maiden at Windsor a couple of weeks ago. That was in good to soft conditions as well.

He looked highly impressive there as well, striding along through the field of twelve and no-one had an answer to him. There are big claims.

William Hill

Experience to pay off for Internationaldream?

The most experienced horse in this field is INTERNATIONALDREAM who will be lining up in his sixth appearance. He has scored in two of those, including on his most recent run.

After getting off the mark at the second attempt, he was successful over course and distance a couple of weeks here. That was in a small field of four.

But after an impressive third at the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood before that, Internationaldream should be a big player from 7/2* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 19:59 GMT on Sunday, 30th August 2020).

Queen Of Rio to rule at Ripon?

QUEEN OF RIO scored on her debut, which was in a 5f maiden here at Ripon. After a below par second racetrack appearance, she was back in form last time out.

She fought superbly to take second place in a Listed race at York, again at the 5f distance. She should have the extra in her to be competitive taking on a longer trip here.

Blinkers were a big plus last time out and she retains them as she lines up as a 4/1 selection* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 19:59 GMT on Sunday, 30th August 2020).

Albadri could have a say

This is a big jump up in class for ALBADRI but he did put in a decent showing on his debut. He scored in a 10 runner maiden at Windsor from a huge 100/1 SP at the 6f distance.

Albadri looked to have some nice finishing speed there.

That run was a couple of weeks ago and makes for an interesting contender at 11/2* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 19:59 GMT on Sunday, 30th August 2020).

Roman Dynasty a threat if he bounces back

There was a nice debut win for ROMAN DYNASTY in August at Wolverhampton. That was from a 66/1 SP.

He found the going a little tougher when he was thrown into the Gimcrack Stakes 10 days ago.

But still, in the tough company, he showed fairly well and there could be something to build on.

Roman Dynasty is a 6/1 option* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 19:59 GMT on Sunday, 30th August 2020).

Rest of the Runners

BLOWING WIND has finished fourth in both of his efforts so far. He is from a yard in form, and one of those efforts was at course and distance.

NASTASE has been in the frame in each of his four runs so far. He got off the mark at the third time of asking. He looked to have improved further last time out, but this is a big step up.

TERRICHANG goes in just her second appearance after scoring a second place on her debut. It was a promising enough start from her and there should be plenty more to come.

THE FLYING GINGER scored on her debut as well. That was a 6f trip and Chester and the notable thing there was a good turn of speed to finish the job.

Predictions & Tips for Ripon Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy Stakes Racing Odds

This should be a pretty hot contest with so many claims flying around. The pick of the bunch for us is INTERNATIONALDREAM because of what he produced at the Molecomb.

QUEEN OF RIO is another of the stand-out competitors in this fixture and we would be happy enough to get some support going her way.

We are going to skip the favourite here and take consideration on ROMAN DYNASTY to push on further after finding the Gimcrack too much too soon.
