Happy Power the 11/4 fav in Goodwood Supreme Stakes Odds

Leading the market is HAPPY POWER at 11/4* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020). It has been a good season from him and is a good versatile runner.

He picked up a win on his last effort as well, claiming a 7f success at Salisbury so is bringing form to the table for trainer Andrew Balding.

The one question mark will be what happened in his penultimate race as he was 4th of 6 at Haydock in a race won by D’bai who he re-opposes on Sunday.

D’BAI
3/1

Boylesports

D’bai a big threat to the favourite

There is a fair chance that D’BAI will end up as the SP favourite in this contest. He has been ticking along in some very good form and as mentioned above, has taken a win over Happy Power this season.

D’bai is trading as the 3/1 second favourite at the moment for this contest* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020). He was up at a higher class on his last run as well.

That was in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood where he wasn’t disgraced in picking up a sixth place finish over course and distance. He has to be well in the frame for a score back at the venue and is our pick of the day.

Snazzy Jazzy not to be counted out

SNAZZY JAZZY is quietly putting together a very good campaign and looks in a good frame of mind at the moment. He was very lightly raced last year but is back with some decent form.

His three races since return have all been at Haydock and so this is a switch up for him. He was third on his last effort there and in one of his runs last season picked up a win in a Listed effort.

Snazzy Jazzy is lining up as at 7/2 for this trip* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020).

Can Escboar get the better of D’bai again?

ESCOBAR was in the Lennox Stakes at the Glorious Goodwood meeting, where he was in front of a big player in this field, D’bai. So that alone is going to mean that he could be capable of getting a place finish on Sunday.

That was an excellent third place finish at the Lennox that Escobar took, easily his best run of the season. He was up in a Group 2 contest on his last run, which was at York and he failed to get going there, however.

He is a dangerous player if he turns up in the right mood, highlighted by an excellent 1m strike at Ascot last year. Escobar is an 11/2 option* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020).

Cloak Of Spirits an exciting outsider

It hasn’t been a bad campaign from CLOAK OF SPIRITS at all. She looked a good juvenile prospect and he came into the frame at the 1000 Guineas this season on her return.

She has been consistent in each of her runs so far and really hasn’t put a foot wrong on her progress.

She takes a drop in trip here which makes her a really interesting player in the field from 7/1* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020).

Toro Strike with plenty to do

TORO STRIKE collected a win on his last race, his second since returning to action. That was a good step up in form as he scored over course and distance in a July handicap here.

He has Oisin Murphy booked and can’t be totally written off in what is a very competitive field here. On his return this year he took a superb fifth place at the Britannia at Royal Ascot.

He’s a 9/1 outsider, but has a good profile* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 19:41 GMT on Saturday 29th August 2020).

Predictions & Tips for Goodwood Supreme Stakes Odds

What a great race this one is shaping up to be as it’s wildly competitive, even down to the market outsiders of CLOAK OF SPIRITS and TORO STRIKE who have their merits.

We actually have our interest piqued by the former as she is a good consistent filly. In taking a drop in trip combined with a bold attitude, she may show for the places.

As for the win we have to lean on D’BAI who looks the pick of the bunch, ever so slightly. We have to consider him over ESCOBAR who was good at the Lennox but then poor immediately afterwards at York.
