After losing their opening International Champions Cup game against Arsenal, Bayern came back strongly. Robert Lewandowski netted against the Gunners and he was on target in their 3-1 success over Real Madrid in their second game. The German champions fielded a stronger team against the Spaniards than they had done against Arsenal. There’s a reasonable chance that they will line up strongly for the start of this one. So two games down, both going over 2.5 goals. The prospect of another entertaining game involving Bayern at the ICC looks good. This is their third and final game of the friendly tournament.
AC Milan News and Form
This is AC Milan’s first venture into the tournament. The Rossonerieri have not done much of note in the summer transfer market. Certainly, nothing that is going to cause big waves. Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie arrives, along with French defender Theo Hernandez from Real Madrid. So Marco Giampaolo’s team looks to stabilise more than anything. They have a good chance at a strong domestic campaign because they are banned from Europe for financial fair play issues, so don’t have that distraction. Their only game of the summer so far was on Friday against domestic opposition in the form of Novara from Serie C. That ended in a 1-1 draw.
