Blatter 6/1 to win the next FIFA President election

Will Blatter stick around even longer?

Football News

Will Sepp Blatter still be the FIFA President after the next election? While some bookmakers have pulled him from the market of the Next FIFA President betting, online bookmaker William Hill have him at a quote of 6/1 price currently, while Betfair decided to cut him into a price of 4/1.

After all the scandals that have aced FIFA recently, Blatter was above it all, but after winning the new election where he was re-installed as President, he announced that he would be stepping down. He called for an extraordinary meeting of the Executives to decide about a new President of the world football’s governing body.

But now it appears that he hasn’t actually resigned from his position and that he is going to put his fate in the hands of the FIFA congress when it comes to another vote. It sounds as if he gets voted in, and he does carry a lot of weight with smaller countries, then he would stay around. However, Jordan’s Prince Ali bin Hussein heads the market at a price of 6/4, while Uefa president Michel Platini is rated an 11-4 chance.
