Bulgaria v England Predictions & Betting Odds – 14th October 2019

Easy win for the Three Lions

Bulgaria v England Betting Tips – UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifier, 14th October 19.45pm

After a poor defeat in Czech Republic on Friday night, Gareth Southgate’s England will want to return to winning ways when they travel to the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia to play Krasimir Balakov’s Bulgaria on Monday. The Three Lions are still very much in pole position in Group A, and they should ease to victory in this one. England head to the Bulgarian capital as the big 2/9 favourites, while the home win is priced at 12/1.

Bulgaria News and Form – Can the Lions topple the Three Lions?

Krasimir Balakov’s Bulgaria have had a poor Euro 2020 qualifying campaign up until now, picking up just three points from a possible 18. The Bulgarians are rock bottom of the Group A, failing to win any of their six qualifiers (three draws, three defeats).

Bulgaria did manage to pick up a decent 0-0 draw at the City Stadium in Podgorica last time out. Montenegro were frustrated by Bulgarian stopper Plamen Iliev, who impressed in Podgorica.

After welcoming England to Sofia on Monday, Bulgaria end their qualifying campaign with a home game with Czech Republic in November. Can they claim a win from their last two matches?

England News and Form – English to strike back in Sofia?

England were brought back down to earth by Jaroslav Silhavy’s Czech Republic on Friday. Despite a Harry Kane penalty giving them an early lead in Prague, the Three Lions struggled to take control of the contest, with goals from Jakub Brabec and Zdenek Ondrasek turning the game on its head. That was England’s first qualifying defeat for ten years.

The English had won four in a row in Group A ahead of Friday’s shock defeat in Prague. Southgate’s side scored 19 times and shipped just four goals along the way. Although it was a poor performance and the result was no doubt a setback, England will still qualify for the European Championship finals with real ease.

The Three Lions, who reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup final in Russia, have certainly been on the rise since Southgate took over. England are the odds-on favourites to return to winning ways in Sofia on Monday, and they should have no issues whatsoever.

Bulgaria v England Tips & Odds

Bulgaria v England Predictions

England win: Southgate’s Three Lions were uncharacteristically poor in Prague on Friday. Kane’s early goal settled the nerves, but Czech Republic were the better side after that, and the hosts fully deserved their three points.

Because of that, the English will be eager to hit back with a win on Monday. The visitors should dominate in Sofia, so have a punt on England to be winning at half time and full time at 4/6.

Along with Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling has been on fire during qualifying. The Manchester City ace has scored six goals in Group A, and the striker will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet in Bulgaria in this one. Put a few quid on Sterling to score anytime at evens.
