EFL Championship Matchday 27: Best Betting Football Tips

Reading vs. Bournemouth: EFL Betting Tip

On Friday night in the Championship, Veljko Paunovic’s Reading and Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth meet in an intriguing game at the Madejski Stadium. The Royals currently sit fifth on 44 points, with the Cherries two points behind in sixth.

Reading are in fine fettle, winning three and drawing two of their last five in the Championship. Paunovic’s men have won two in a row at home, seeing off Luton Town and Coventry City. Can they make it three home victories on the bounce this Friday?

Our betting prediction:
Reading to win & both teams to score
11/2

Bournemouth are having their first real slump of the season at present. Since back-to-back home wins over Huddersfield Town and Wycombe Wanderers, the Cherries have won just one of six in the Championship, losing the last two.

Bournemouth will be desperate for a win having taken just one point from their last three league games, but we fancy in-form Reading to nick the points on home soil. Check out the 2-1 Royals win at 10/1.

Norwich City vs. Middlesbrough: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Norwich and Middlesbrough square off at Carrow Road in Saturday’s early kick off in the Championship. The Canaries will be hoping to take another big leap towards promotion to the Premier League with three points on home turf.

Daniel Farke’s Norwich are in stunning form in the Championship, winning eight of the last ten. After recent results, the Canaries have opened up a six-point lead at the top of the division. Since a 1-0 loss at Watford on Boxing Day, City have taken ten points from a possible 12.

On the whole, Middlesbrough have had a good season so far, but Neil Warnock’s men have lost five of their last seven in all competitions. Over the past week, Boro have lost back-to-back home league games to Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United.

Norwich should make it four Championship wins on the spin this weekend. The Canaries have won their last five meetings with Middlesbrough by a goal to nil. You can get 21/10 for the home side to win to nil on Saturday.

Rotherham United vs. Swansea City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Steve Cooper’s high-flying Swansea make the trip to the New York Stadium to face Paul Warne’s Rotherham in Championship action this Saturday. The Swans are the clear favourites, but the Millers will still be buzzing from their superb midweek win.

On Wednesday night, Rotherham stunned Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium. Goals from Matt Crooks, Michael Smith and Ryan Giles gave United a deserved 3-0 victory. Warne’s troops have taken seven points from their last three in the Championship.

Swansea are in outstanding form at the moment, unbeaten in eight in all competitions, winning six and drawing two. However, after a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium with promotion rivals Brentford in midweek, Cooper’s boys will be looking to strike back with a big three points on the road this weekend.

Rotherham are starting to click into gear, but Swansea will fancy their chances at the New York Stadium. Put some money on the away win and both teams to score at 4/1.

Watford vs. Queens Park Rangers: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 27

The final match of the round takes place at Vicarage Road on Monday. Watford will be hoping to keep their momentum going with three points against QPR. As you would expect, Xisco Munoz’s boys are the big favourites with the bookies.

Watford have the best home record in the Championship. After 13 fixtures at Vicarage Road, the Hornets have picked up ten wins, drawn twice and suffered just one defeat. Since Munoz arrived, Watford have taken 13 points from a possible 18.

After back-to-back away wins at Luton Town and Cardiff City, Mark Warburton’s men fell to a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Derby County last time out. Rangers have won just twice in the Championship since November.

This could be a walk in the park for in-form Watford. The Hertfordshire club are formidable at home, and we fancy Munoz’s troops to claim a big home victory on Monday. You can get Watford to win -2 at the top price of 11/2.
