EPL Top 4 Finish Odds received a shake up on Monday.

With the news breaking that Manchester City will be going into the Champions League next season, the pressure for a top-four finish in the Premier League got stepped up.

EPL Top 4 Finish Odds – no 5th place in play

The news confirms that only the top four spots, as usual, will be qualification spots for next season’s Champions League.

Teams like Wolves,  Manchester United and Sheffield United were hoping for the cushion of an extra place being open to play for.

Had Manchester City’s appeal against their ban not been successful, then it would likely have meant that the fifth-place finisher was going to get a place, with City having locked down second in the league.

So with Liverpool and Manchester City occupying the top two spots, there is now a huge and stressful race for the other two places.

Chelsea in tight battle with just three to play

Ahead of their Tuesday fixture against the already-relegated Norwich, Chelsea are holding down third place, a point ahead of Leicester and Manchester City.

That will leave Chelsea with just the two games to play, everyone else in the picture for a top-four finish, with three.

Wolves are in sixth place, four points outside of the top five.

Chelsea are 1/4 odds-on to get a top-four finish* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 03:17 GMT on Tuesday, July 14th 2020).

That is despite the Blues crashing heavily to a 3-0 defeat against Sheffield United on the weekend.

But the Blues are W4 L2 in their six games since coming back into action and two of their three remaining games are on home soil.

Their one remaining away game is a tough one, however, as they have to face champions, Liverpool.

Can Leicester find their end of season form?

The Foxes have really struggled for consistency since returning to action. They have won only one of their last six games played since coming back (W1 D2 L3).

On the weekend they suffered a big shock upset, going down 4-1 against the relegation-threatened Bournemouth.

The Foxes face a tough run-in as well, in taking on three of the other current top-eight. It has been a big advantage that they have let slip, can they put on a final burst?

Leicester have drifted to 6/4 odds in Premier League Top 4 Finish odds* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 03:17 GMT on Tuesday, July 14th 2020).

LEICESTER v Sheff Utd
Tottenham v LEICESTER
Leicester v MANCHESTER UNITED

EPL Top 4 Finish odds favour the in-form Manchester United

The Red Devils conceded a 95th-minute equaliser on Monday at home against Southampton.

That extended their unbeaten form to eleven. But in light of the situation, how telling with those two dropped points against the Saints, be in such a tight race?

But because of their current good form, the Red Devils are 1/4 odds-on to get a top-four finish secured* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 03:17 GMT on Tuesday, July 14th 2020).

The Red Devils do have a fairly comfortable run-in as well now, compared to the others in the mix for a top 4 finish.

But just how big is their final fixture away at the King Power against Leicester going to be?

Manchester United’s remaining fixtures

Crystal Palace v MANCHESTER UNITED
MANCHESTER UNITED v West Ham
Leicester v MANCHESTER UNITED

Can Wolves defy big odds for their top-four finish?

As things stand, Wolves need to make up four points in three games to muscle their way to a top-four finish.

That’s a big ask for any team and that is reflected in their 11/1 odds for a top-four finish* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 03:17 GMT on Tuesday, July 14th 2020).

It’s not impossible of course and Wolves have won 4 of their 6 games back.

There could be a real grandstand finish to come from them as they take a trip to Chelsea for their final match.

Wolves’ remaining fixtures

Burnley v WOLVERHAMPTON
WOLVERHAMPTON v Crystal Palace
Chelsea v WOLVERHAMPTON

EPL Top 4 Finish Odds Predictions

Chelsea and Manchester United do look to be the ones that are most likely heading to the top four. Chelsea have, despite the odd blowout, managed their fixtures quite well.

Manchester United meanwhile have been the pick of the bunch on overall form since the Premier League restarted. So that could leave Leicester just short with their form having evaded them.
