When and where is the FA Cup Final 2021?

This season’s FA Cup final will be played on May 15th, 2021 at Wembley. A limited number of spectators will be allowed in, a maximum of 20,000.

Chelsea’s route to the final

Chelsea came through the Third and Fourth rounds of the competition comfortably, with big wins over Morecambe and Luton at Stamford Bridge.

In the fifth round, they earned a narrow away win at Championship side Barnsley. It was a 2-0 win back at home against Sheffield United in the quarter-finals.

That set the Blues up with a heavyweight semi-final against Man City. The Blues defied underdog odds to beat the Citizens 1-0.

In their five games in this season’s competition, Chelsea have tallied 11 goals and have conceded 1.

Leicester’s Route to the FA Cup Final

The first two rounds of action for Leicester were away at Championship opposition. The Foxes claimed easy road wins at Stoke and Brentford.

It was fellow Premier League opposition in Brighton that they faced at the King Power in the Fifth Round. Leicester won that 1-0.

They claimed the big scalp of Manchester United in the quarter-finals, beating the Red Devils 3-1 before a 1-0 success over Southampton in the semi-finals.

FA Cup Final History

Chelsea are one of the most successful clubs in the history of the FA Cup. They have won the title 8 times before. Only Manchester United and Arsenal have won it on more occasions.

The Blues were in last year’s final and were upset by Arsenal there. That leaves them with their last title coming in 2018.

They have now made it to the final in three of the last four seasons of the competition.

Leicester have made the FA Cup only once before. That was back in 1969 when they lost against Manchester City at Wembley.

So it has been a long wait for the Foxes to have a taste of this fixture as a club.

Chelsea Current Form

Chelsea have been a rejuvenated force since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard this season.

The Blues have become a strong unit in defence, a model of efficiency and organization. They have tallied a clean sheet in six of their last eight games in all competitions.

There is a quote of 21/20 on a Chelsea to win to nil option in FA Cup Final betting odds* (odds recorded at 04:12 GMT on 13th May 2021 at Bet365).

It could be quite the season for them as the Londoners have been in terrific form.

They are well in the mix for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, arguably their top priority on the domestic front.

But on top of that and looking forward to this FA Cup Final, the Blues also have a Champions League Final to look forward to against Man City.
