The Celebration Mile racing odds is the big highlight of Saturday’s racing from the card at Goodwood.

This is a cracking Group 2 affair that is open to 3-year-olds plus. Taking on the 1m challenge there are 10 declared runners.

Heading up the horse racing betting market for Celebration Mile racing odds is BENBATL. But strong claims are running through the field.

Benbatl 5/2 FAV in Goodwood Celebration Mile Racing Odds

7-year-old BENBATL makes a return to action after having been away for almost a year.

He is the current 5/2 favourite in Celebration Mile racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

There is plenty in his form to suggest that he can make a big impact. Having skipped winter action, the absence has to be questioned first.

But he won the 2019 Joel at Newmarket after almost a year away from the action. So there is a history of him performing fresh.

The last action that Benbatl had was in the Group 2 Joel last September where he took a third-place finish.

If he is right in top form on his return, he is high-class enough to make an impact.

Can Chindit deliver with sights lowered?

CHINDIT is not without a chance in this one. His returns at the top level have been frustrating recently for supporters.

But this is an easier assignment for the 3-year-old, stepping back from the Group 1 company and lowering his sights.

Chindit is a quote of 3/1 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

He was last seen at Deauville two weeks ago. Chindit ran with credit there to take a fifth-place finish.

On his return to action this season, Chindit did win the Greenham at Newbury. He has the potential to make an impact.

Mutasaabeq not out of it

There should be strong claims brought forward by MUTASAABEQ at 3/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

He looks a good fit for Saturday. On his penultimate run, he went to Royal Ascot and delivered a sub-standard effort in the Jersey Stakes.

But Mutasaabeq bounced straight back to win at Haydock six weeks ago in a conditions event. After a good little rest, he has potential here.

That’s two wins in four runs for him this season and while he’s unexposed compared to most of this field, he clearly has some potential to shine at this level.

Happy Power has a case

Another who has decent place claims in Celebration Mile racing odds is HAPPY POWER at 11/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

Last year there was a big course success for Happy Power as he won the Group 3 Supreme. In 2019 he was third in the Celebration Mile as well.

So that previous Goodwood form piques some interest. Happy Power arrives in action on the back of a very good third-place finish in the Lennox last month.

There’s no reason to think when he couldn’t enjoy himself back at Goodwood, although the win to be fair, looks out of reach.

Does Duke Of Hazzard have enough?

Former Celebration Mile winner DUKE OF HAZZARD is back but at a long 12/1 quote* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

He hasn’t looked quite as sharp as he was last season, ticking along in nothing more than moderate form.

This is the first time that Duke Of Hazzard has been back to Goodwood since taking a runner up spot in last year’s Lennox here.

On his latest run, he was in the Group 3 Strensall Stakes and took third from 28/1. Will the return to Goodwood, somewhere he clearly likes, bring more out of him?

Rest of the runners

POGO picked up a reappearance Listed win in April. A couple of decent runs have come his way since, but he was very poor at York seven days ago.

STORMY ANTARCTIC has had a decent season, but this may be too quick for him. He was fourth at Haydock in a Group 3 three weeks ago.

That was after a break and he’s not totally without place claims. Rain would further his chances.

LAVENDER’S BLUE has struggled on her last two runs. She did have an impressive run at Newmarket three races ago but has not backed that up.

PEROTTO is a former winner at Goodwood. The 3-year-old looks to be on the up at the moment, and earlier this season won the Britannia at Royal Ascot. He’s no forlorn hope.

Predictions & Tips for Goodwood Celebration Mile Racing Odds

A very interesting field here as you have BENBATL returning after a very long absence, because of missing the winter.

But he is high-class, with proven form and if he’s on his game then he could be taught to knock over.

CHINDIT has the ability, but struggles at Group 1 may not see him arrive in the best of shape, albeit in an easier contest.

So preference in horse racing betting is for MUTASAABEQ at 3/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at Coral).

We liked the reaction to a poor run at Royal Ascot from him, returning immediately to winning ways at Haydock.

He should be sharper for that and looks a good fit for this Group 2.

One to watch for the places is PEROTTO who is not to be underestimated. He’s rapidly progressing and looks set to thrive very soon in pattern company.
