Paddy Power

Each week there is a prediction game on offer from online betting site Paddy Power which gives players the chance to land a share of a big jackpot. With each and every sports bet that a punter makes they are making a prediction, testing their powers of forecasting the future. That, of course, comes with a stake attached, a risk, but with the Paddy Power Predict 6, you can take a shot at big returns, all risk-free.

The Paddy Power Predict 6 runs each week during the regular football season and as the name suggest you have to make six predictions. They are First Goalscorer predictions from the six nominated matches the bookmaker presents in each round.

What does it cost to play?

Absolutely nothing. The competition is open to all registered Paddy Power account holders

Making the predictions

There is a simple form to fill out in the Paddy Power Hotshot Jackpot competition where you simply predict the first goalscorer from a menu for each game. It’s a simple as that really. You can change your predictions up to the start of the fixture but not once the games have started. If your pick a player who doesn’t end up playing, it means that you won’t get a shot at the weekly jackpot but could be in the running for the round prize of £2,500. All of the matches will be for a Saturday 3 pm kick off. You will have the option to select no goalscorer in a selected match if you think that it is going to end up 0-0.

The Prize

The prize is huge because the jackpot competition has a £250,000 pot and if nobody wins that they the bookmaker adds another £25,000 per round, up to a maximum total of £1,000,000. Once a jackpot has gone, the next round will revert back to the starting pot of £250,000.

The Winner

Any prediction which correctly selects the first goal scorer in ALL of the Hotshot Jackpot fixtures in a given round will win. If more than one player gets all predictions correct then the prize will be shared evenly. There is a consolation prize in each round as well because if the jackpot doesn’t go, the player with the highest number of first goalscorer winners (at least five) can claim a £2,500 consolation prize.

There is a also a tiebreak question that you will have to fill when you submit your predictions and this will be the decider would two or more participants have the same number of first goalscorers. The top ten participants in each round of the Paddy Power Hotshot Jackpot will each claim a £25 free bet.

The Leaderboard

There is a leaderboard competition tied into all this as well which will be settled and closed after the final round of Premier League match of the 2017/18 season (13th May, 2018). The player with the highest number of selected first goal scorers across the entire season will then pick up a prize of £2,500 and if there is a tie, then the overall winner will be the participant with the closest prediction for the Hotshot Tiebreaker Question in the last round of the game will get the win.

Summary

This is a fun competition to go and have a shot at. The Weekly jackpot is huge and if that jackpot isn’t won then there is still a £2,500 cash prize that can be collected, plus the top 10 players in each round get a £25 free bet. So there’s a lot going on and again, all of this is free to play each and every week. There is just the one prediction entry per week per customer. That is natural because you can only hold one Paddy Power account.
