LA Galaxy News and Form – Can LA avoid a fourth successive defeat?
The Galaxy made a superb start to their season, winning seven of their opening nine. However, LA have fallen from grace since then, losing ten times along the way. Overall, Schelotto’s men have won 12, lost 11 and drawn just once.
Since winning the LA derby back in July, the Galaxy have lost three MLS fixtures in a row. However, all three of those defeats have come away from home, with Portland Timbers (4-0), Atlanta United (3-0) and DC United (2-1) all getting the better of them in recent weeks.
LA Galaxy have blown hot and cold at Dignity Health Sports Park in recent months. After kicking off their season with six consecutive home wins, LA have lost four and won only two of their last six on home soil. Away from LA, the Galaxy have lost each of their last four in the league.
LA Galaxy will be desperate to strike back after three poor losses in a row. Their home form has been good for the most part, and the franchise will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Dallas on Thursday.

After a disappointing 2-0 loss at Orlando City, FC Dallas returned to winning ways in emphatic style last weekend, putting five past Minnesota at Toyota Stadium. Brandon Servania helped himself to a brace, while there were goals for Ryan Hollingshead, Santiago Mosquera and Reggie Cannon in the 5-3 thriller.
The Hoops have been in patchy form of late, though, winning three, losing three and drawing two of their last eight in MLS. Dallas currently find themselves in seventh place in the Western Conference. So far, the club have picked up ten wins from 25 league matches, losing nine and drawing six along the way.
Gonzalez’s side have struggled on the road so far this season. Toros have secured just three away league wins, losing eight of their 12 away fixtures in the process. Before losing 2-0 to Orlando in their last away affair, Dallas did manage to beat Sporting Kansas City 2-0 at Children’s Mercy Park last month.
Dallas will leapfrog LA Galaxy in the Western Conference with an away win on Thursday. However, they head to Los Angeles as the 14/5 underdogs.
