Easy win for the champions

Nice v Paris Saint-Germain Betting Tips – Ligue 1, 18th October 19.45pm

Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint-Germain are back in action on Friday night, as the French champions take on Patrick Vieira’s Nice at the Allianz Riviera. Even though PSG have not been at their best this term, they are still two points clear at the top of the French Ligue 1 table. As for Nice, they occupy eighth spot after nine games, picking up 13 points from a possible 27. Will PSG secure a routine away win on Friday night?

Nice News and Form – Can the Eaglets upset the champions?

Nice go into Friday’s home game with the champions having not won in three. Since picking up a 1-0 home win over Dijon, the Eaglets have taken just one point from a possible nine, drawing one and losing two.

Before the international break, Patrick Vieira’s boys were beaten by in-form Nantes at La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau, with Moses Daddy Simon’s goal four minutes from time giving the home team a 1-0 victory.

Nice have only played four Ligue 1 games at the Allianz Riviera this season, winning two, drawing one and losing one. The club, who finished seventh last term, could move to as high as third with a win on Friday. However, that will not be an easy task against the current French champions.

Paris Saint-Germain News and Form – A fourth away league win for PSG?

Paris Saint-Germain have had a strange Ligue 1 season so far. PSG sit two points clear of Nantes at the top of the division, winning seven and losing two of their opening nine. Despite shipping just four goals, Paris have fallen to defeats to Rennes and Reims, with all four goals coming in those two matches.

Apart from those two minor blips, the Parisians have been their usual dominant selves. Away from home, PSG have won their last three in Ligue 1 without conceding, beating Metz (2-0), Lyon and Bordeaux (both 1-0). They also picked up a 1-0 win at Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.

Last time out in Ligue 1, Thomas Tuchel’s troops cruised to a 4-0 home win over Angers at the Parc des Princes. Four different players got on the scoresheet, with Pablo Sarabia, Mauro Icardi, Idrissa Gueye and Neymar bagging the goals.

The Red and Blues have won three league and cup games in a row since suffering a shock home defeat at the hands of Reims in September. Tuchel’s team will be targeting a fourth victory on the bounce in Nice on Friday night.

Nice v Paris Saint-Germain Predictions

Paris Saint-Germain win: Since their shock loss to Reims at the Parc des Princes, PSG have hit back with three successive victories in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in each of those. I fancy Paris to win to nil again on Friday night, which you can get at 8/5.

Despite being away from home, this is a game that Tuchel’s men will want to dominate from start to finish. With that in mind, put some money on Paris to be winning at half time and full time at 11/10.
